Rapper Lupe Fiasco is very opinionated and outspoken, and as a result, the rapper strikes a chord in people on a regular basis. During President Obama’s campaign for his second term, Lupe made a lot of his own supporters angry when he ranted against Obama in the middle of one of his performances, and then had to be dragged off stage by security considering the event he was performing at was a Pro-Obama event. Lupe hasn’t let the controversy stop him any from still being outspoken, and still blaming Obama for a lot of what’s going on with the teen shootings in Chicago. However, it appears that Lupe’s rants have caused some people to get so annoyed with him that they have resorted to tossing glow sticks at him during his performances.
Lupe was performing at the campus of the University of Cincinnati when someone chucked a glow stick towards the stage and hit him in the head. Lupe promptly halted his performance, and had a few words for the person responsible:
“Listen, hold up two seconds we’ll get back to the show, listen. I know you a jerk, and that’s cool. I know that you came hear and you thought that ‘I’ma get some shine real quick and throw some sh*t at Lupe and hit him in the face.
“But, let me remind you of something, okay? Hold on y’all, just hold on. We gonna get back to the show… Let me remind you something…you see this waist? This waist right here? There used to be four black belts around this waist.
“So listen, Everybody that wanna throw some sh*t, kindly step over to the side of the stage….and I’ll give you five minutes of fame here. I’ll seek whatever you want from this show to make sure they don’t get your broken up a*s outside of jail.
“In the words of Jay-Z, ‘It ain’t a movie dog,’ don’t get f*cked up.”

I’m not shocked at all. Lupe whines a lot (although he speaks the truth most of the times), but I can see someone wanted to toss a glow stick at his head and going to the concert for the sole purpose of hitting their intended target.

Thing is, if you dislike Lupe, why go to his show? That’s the part that doesn’t make sense……BUT, I just scrolled up and read this happened on a college campus. So… *shrug* there’s no telling.
I’m sure there’s more people waiting to toss a glow stick at Lupe’s head. He’s annoying as hell.
