K. Michelle may be focusing a lot more these days on developing her music career, but she’s still one of the most entertaining people on “Love and Hip hop Atlanta.” However, the reality star has already confirmed on several occasions that her reign on “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta” will be short-lived, and she has decided to not return for season three. Instead, she recently confirmed that she will be getting her own reality show and now there are signs pointing to the possibility of her joining “Love and Hip hop New York.” But when it comes to her personal life, things aren’t moving as fast. Single and focusing on her music, K. Michelle revealed this morning on the Breakfast Club that her lack of a love life is by choice. And it’s not like she’s not being pursued, in fact Chad Johnson seems to be in the running. Although she claimed recently they aren’t together, she did confirm he is trying to change that. But she’s taking things slow because she believes men should “court” her. And she’s not changing her mind even though he did buy her a pet monkey. Here are the highlights of the interview.
When asked if Chad bought her a pet monkey, she says:
“Yes, he did. You can’t bring the monkey to New York so the monkey is in Florida and I’ve been trying to find it a home. Chad approached me and he tried to date me and I was like, ‘No, I don’t want no shoes. Everybody get shoes man. I want a monkey.'”
Even though Chad bought her the monkey, K. Michelle is still insisting on taking things very slow:
“I thought it was a sweet gesture. And no, we have not slept together. I been through a lot with this dating thing. I spoke to Chad yesterday. We are friends and I think that’s what it needs to be. I think I hopped into something that I shouldn’t have hopped into so quickly last time (J.R. Smith) and I feel like now I have to pace it.
“We are going to dinner and we are being friends. We’re talking on the phone. He’s courting.
“He’s really nice. I’m getting to know him as a friend.”
