Adrian Peterson’s gay marriage views have been revealed. As the country remains divided on the subject of gay marriage, it appears that the world of professional sports is just as divided when it comes to the issue. Although the NBA was changed forever when Jason Collins became the first active player to come out of the closet, it was made clear on several occasions that not all athletes stood beside his choice to reveal his true sexuality to the world via an open letter for Sports Illustrated. NFL star Mike Wallace took to his Twitter account to make it clear that he doesn’t understand homosexuality, and former NBA player and former husband to “Basketball Wives” star Jennifer Williams, Eric Williams, took to his Twitter account to slam the basketball player for coming out and claimed Collins was part of the plan to degrade black men in the media. Although NFL star running back Adrian Peterson of the Minnesota Vikings isn’t as harsh as the others, he did make it clear in a recent interview that he just doesn’t support gay marriage, an admission that could strike a nasty chord in plenty of people. He tells Sirius/XM NFL Radio:

“To each his own, [but] I’m not with it. I have relatives who are gay. I’m not biased towards them. I still treat them the same. I love ’em. But again, I’m not with that. That’s not something I believe in. But to each his own.”

Peterson may not be a supporter of gay marriage, but gay marriage will become legal in Minnesota on August 1.

  1. Before people start going off on here just remember everyone is entitled to their own opinions. Opinions are like azz holes everyone has one so it’s not that deep.

  2. I don’t get why people even care. I don’t. If you want to be gay, be gay. Hell, get married too. What does that have to do with me? They aren’t asking for our support, they’re asking for the rights. Let it go and let them live. We all sin.

    1. Hold on, how is he a bigot though? He doesn’t hate gay people, he just says he doesn’t support them getting married. Big difference. We’re too quick to call people bigots over this topic.

  3. Why do people keep acting like one sin is worse than the other? They act like being gay is the worst thing a person can be. Ignorant.

    1. I see where you’re coming from. But I guess he’s coming from the same perspective as anyone that would be against murder, etc. Technically, it’s all the same, but “morals” are a funny thing….

  4. Question….Do we all have to agree on this subject now? Damm. what happened to having an opinion?

  5. I really could care less, but I hate that the gay, lesbian, and transgendered community are such bullies if you don’t agree with their lifestyle. At the end of the day, do what pleases you…. BUT don’t be mad that I’m doing what pleases me, that’s such a contradiction!
