The Miguel lawsuit drama continues. R&B singer Miguel might be standing by his comments regarding “black people being the most judgmental people in the world,” but he hasn’t managed to put that whole “leg drop” incident that went down at the Billboard Music Awards behind him just yet. Although the singer claims he does find humor in everything and even those slanderous memes, it’s already been confirmed the victim is contemplating filing a lawsuit against the singer. Earlier, it was confirmed to E! News that while she has not made an official decision just yet, she did hire a lawyer to look into the possibility. Now her lawyer is telling TMZ she could file as early as next week if she gets confirmation from her doctor she is suffering from brain damage as a result of the injury. The site reports:

As you’ll recall … Miguel took a flying, theatrical leap across the stage and landed with thunderous force on Khyati Shah’s head.

Vip Bhola, Shah’s lawyer, says, “Some of the difficulties she’s experiencing are cognitive in nature and lead to suspicion of a neurological head injury.”

Bhola says BMA responded to the accident with a pathetic gesture — an ice pack designed to soothe a bruised elbow. The attorney insists his client should have been rushed to the hospital.

Bhola tells us his client is waiting for test results from a neurologist. When the results are in — sometime next week — Khyati will decide if a lawsuit is in the cards.

Miguel hasn’t responded to the possibility of being hit by a lawsuit as of yet.

  1. Brain damage? Well he did come down pretty hard on her head. He’s going to have to pay up a lot of money.

  2. I hope she doesn’t have brain damage. It was mistake, but he should at least pay her medical fees.

  3. lol man just thinking about what it felt like to get hit in the face with a volleyball when I was younger, I can only imagine how that felt. And I feel pretty bad because I never even thought about that (how it must have FELT for her) until just now. Yes it was a mistake, but that doesn’t negate the consequences of what could come from these test results. I don’t “fault” him, but my thoughts and prayers are with her tho. I mean, she was pretty much karate chopped between the force from his landing and the stage. Ouch. 🙁
