A Tupac Shakur Hollywood Walk of Fame star is on the way. Music lovers of all ages can’t get through a conversation about legendary figures in Hip-Hop without mentioning Rapper Tupac Shakur. The late great emcee’s raw lyrics on his songs hit home for many of his dedicated fans. And he had a way with words that was comparable to no other as Tupac Shakur was a master when it came to the art of storytelling. Though his life came to a tragic end at the young age of 25, Tupac Shakur’s accomplishments and the lasting mark he left on the game of Hip-Hop are still very much celebrated to this day by fans, artists he has influenced, and even some of his biggest critics. Steve Harvey got honored with a star of his own not too long ago. And just days after what would have been the deceased rapper’s 42nd birthday, it was announced that Tupac Shakur would be one of the celebrities receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame next year,Variety reports:

The Hollywood Walk of Fame committee chairman David Green announced next year’s list of honorees Thursday at a ceremony where Jennifer Lopez received her honor, with Tupac Shakur and Phil Hartman set to be lauded posthumously.

Along with Tupac Shakur, Katy Perry, Holland-Dozier-Holland and Rick Springfield are the other recording artists who will be honored with a star.

Much respect to the late Tupac Shakur for this accomplishment.

  1. It’s so unfortunate that these young kids won’t have a Tupac. Instead they have Kanye West and 2 Chainz. LOL.

    1. Exactly. Hip Hop has really suffered. At least there are some newer rappers that are trying to save it.

  2. Tupac was such a real person. Sigh…sometimes I wonder how Hip Hop would be now if he wasn’t killed. Biggie too.
