Rihanna has always been known for being a very vocal celebrity, and the singer doesn’t mince words in her interviews and even on her social network accounts. We’re pretty sure that’s one of the main reasons she’s quickly become one of the most followed celebrities on Twitter and Instagram, and we have to even admit keeping up with her tweets and Instagram posts is a guilty pleasure for us too. However, Rihanna’s bold and raunchy Instagram behavior is one of the main reasons people feel she should be a better role model. But Rihanna made it clear on numerous occasions that she doesn’t want to be a role model. However, a writer of the Daily Mail just got put in her place for a recent article she wrote slamming the singer for not being a good role model to young girls. Liz Jones probably isn’t going to like the dragging Rihanna just gave her on Instagram. Rihanna posted a photo of the writer and writes in the caption:

LOL!!!! My money got a bad habit of p*ssing people off!! If you sincerely wanna help little girls more than their own parents do, here’s a toxic tip: don’t be amateur with your articles, you sound bitter! What’s all this about hair and nails and costumes and tattoos?? ….That sh*t ain’t clever!!! That sh*t ain’t journalism! That’s a sad sloppy menopausal mess!!! Nobody over here acts like they’re perfect! I don’t pretend that I’m like you, i just live… My life!! And I don’t know why y’all still act so surprised by any of it!! “Role Model” is not a position or title that I have ever campaigned for, so chill wit dat! I got my own f*cked up sh*t to work on, I’ll never portray that as perfect, but for right now it’s ME!! Call it what ya want!! Toxic was cute, Poisonous Pop Princess had a nice ring to it, just a lil wordy!

And P.S. my first American Vogue cover was in 2011…APRIL!!! #ElizabethAnnJones

  1. I think I’ve said this before on this same topic. but being a role model is a choice. People who aren’t famous get to make the choice to be an example or not, so why can’t celebs? If that’s not who she wants to be, cool. She has the right to make the choice. I also think this is a bit sexist. Famous Men are not pressured to be role models. But women are…not fair.

  2. I have to say I’m with Rihanna on this one. It’s not her job to raise other people’s kids. Where the navy at? lol

  3. Rihanna is a coward. When you’re famous, you are automatically a role model because you live your life in front of everyone. No one made her get a record deal, she wanted this. And this comes along with the job. Shut up and accept it.

  4. Tell em Rih! I wish people would stop the role model BS! She’s a singer, not the parent of other people’s kids!

  5. This rant was a waste of time. People will still say she needs to be a better role model because little girls DO look up to her. A parent can try to show their child why Rihanna is not who they should emulate, but if all their friends say differently, it gets hard. But it’s her life. One day she will look back on all of this and see that being a bad girl is very overrated.

  6. Rihanna has a right to live her own life…. if its self destruction only on her part. Parents star as see are humans and can’t be role models for our children. Educate your kids on topics and show them results of destructive behavior, teach them that celebrities are humans and your their role models.

  7. People without kids love to pull that whole “celebs shouldn’t be influencing your kids” talk.

  8. For Rihanna to be “living her life” so much, she sure does care about what other people think a whole lot. Strange.

  9. I actually agree with Rihanna for once. Just because she is rich and famous doesn’t mean she HAS to be a role model. She never tried to be one and people should stop trying to make her be one. How is it HER fault if YOUR children want to smoke weed, curse, dress provocatively, act? I was raised to be my own person, and that’s how I will raise my children God willing.

  10. Celebrity does not make you perfect>>They are humans. yes Rihanna is nobodies role model. I will do my own child. I believe best to lead your child is by example. When they are adults you let them go hoping they make sound choices in life that won’t harm them or others..

  11. I think I’m a bit confused. When it comes to “The Navy,” what exactly is its purpose? I get that she doesn’t want to be a role model. But when you have a group of people that pretty much follow and support your every move, what exactly is that? It’s about more than just her music and buyin albums when it comes to “The Navy.” So I mean, what is it exactly she’s really saying? Don’t say you don’t want people looking up to you or whatever when you have those that constantly come to your defense, emulate you and your behaviors, etc. but then shy away when it’s called out for what it really is. At the end of the day, no one really “chooses” to be a role model in my opinion. As you cross paths with people, it’s easy for traits and characteristics to inspire others without even knowing it. As a celebrity, it’s even more likely because of the platform. I just wish she’d speak with her actions and really not give a damn about what’s being said. It’s quite annoying to see the “I don’t give a f*** attitude” overshadowed by rants such as this one. It’s ok to not care, just as it’s ok to care. I just wish SHE knew how SHE felt…..and committed to it.

    1. Her fans support her because they like her music and she’s not pretentious. she just live her life. This is why some people will say beyonce is fake because they don’t know the real beyonce

      1. Why is your simple behind bringing Beyonce up in this post? You young birds might think being ratchet and lacking class makes someone real, but not everyone is falling for Rihanna’s gimmicks. She ain’t no real bad girl. She’s not even a real artist. She can’t sing, dance, or show up on time to her own shows. She’s a fraud who can’t even take criticism. Crying on Instagram every time someone calls her out. Yeah, that’s bad a-s! Lol. GTFOH.

And MJ was a legend. Greatest to ever do it but was extremely PRIVATE. He didn’t whore himself out on social networks. He let his talent speak for itself. You young people are so stupid it’s scary. All entertainers owe us is their talent! Rihanna doesn’t have any so she just bares all (literally) on Instagram to look real. If you had some higher standards in music, you’d know better.

      2. Don’t bring Beyonce in this. Rihanna is on top of the game and to mention another female in her post doesn’t do her justice.

      3. Y’all can we chill on the stan wars? I mean Rihanna and Bey are two black women killing the game. Why must we have to put down one to uplift the other? It’s unnecessary.

  12. @Anonymous, you can’t be too tired of that big forehead shank. Every chance you get you talking s@#t about her (lol…ijs)

  13. Man F**K RIHANNA!! She is extremely Immature and she suffers from delusions of Grandure, like she thinks she’s better than others becasue of the simple fact that she does have money!! She is superficial & very materialistic! And, although the article althought petty & kinda hash, is very true!!!

Obviously Queen Rihanna got mad when she read it but hey, THE TRUTH HURTS!!

My question is this: Who in the F**K does Rihanna think she is that no one can say anything about her without her having some kinda of craxy rude reaction! There is such a thing as letting **** go, especially when you have everything you want in Life…well except for ChrisBrown!! #LOL… #PoorDat

This is NOT of wether or NOT she wants to be a ROLE MODEL… the fact of the matter she is! The FACT that she she know she has so much power and Infulence over our young girls and the fact that she refuses to even try to use all that infulence and power for good or to uplift the younger generation just shows what kinda of person she really is: SELFISH!!

Rihanna is all about herself and her money and somehow she thinks that it makes her better than others… ***** musta got hit it the head!! #LOL…my bad, but that was kinda funny…

  14. The only person Rihanna is responsible for is Rihanna!!! Being a celebrity does not make you an automatic role model. She did not swear to millions of people with her hand on a bible to serve and protect anyone or anything. That job is taken in these United States! If she chooses to be messy….let her be messy. If she chooses to provide books to impoverished children in a third world country…so be it! Either way it’s her decision to make. NO ONE ELSES. Not saying I like her or dislike her, I just feel like this…if any celebrity opts to behave as they do….good, bad, or indifferent….let them. Take care of yourself and your loved ones. Turn your focus on them. Live your life. Enjoy your time on this earth. Leave your mark how you deem fit for you. #oneloveall.

  15. Rihanna was not in the bed making your kids with you and your significant other so its not her responsibility to raise them. If you don’t like the way Rihanna behaves prevent your kids from listening to her music but she should not have to alter her one life that is given to her to please no one. I doubt any of you on this post will live your life like others would like you too. If that’s the case we will all be perfect. Let the girl live her life as she please its her life not yours.
