Mariah Carey Pushes Back Her Album Release Date

More Mariah Carey album release date news. Mariah Carey may be done with her dramatic days as a judge on “American Idol,” but she’s definitely not slowing down any time soon. In fact, the talented singer was set to drop a new album very soon, especially since her current single with Miguel, “#Beautiful,” is doing quite well on the charts. However, it looks like Mariah no longer feels her album is ready for a July release. The Daily Mail reports:

Usually the delay of an album in the music industry can spell disaster.

But Mariah Carey is doing her best to put a positive spin on her latest collection of songs – titled The Art Of Letting Go – being pushed back behind schedule.

The 43-year-old broke the news of the delay herself on Monday, taking to her Twitter account to explain the decision.

‘While making this album, I got so immersed in the creative process that I just don’t feel I would be doing it justice to release it on 7/23,’ she wrote.

Mariah then gave further explanation as to why her new album, which was scheduled to be released on 23 July, has been delayed.

She revealed: ‘I’d rather not exclude meaningful songs. I want to give you this album as it’s meant to be heard. When I’m ready, you’ll be the first 2 know!’

Sounds as though she’s the one having trouble letting go of certain songs.

However, it may also have something to do with the fact that the lead single from the album #Beautiful only made it to the top twenty of the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

While the singer didn’t reveal what the new album release date is just yet, reports are suggesting the album’s title is “The Art Of Letting Go.”
