The 2 Chainz robbery drama continues. 2 Chainz hasn’t had the best few weeks since he was robbed by gunpoint in San Francisco recently. The incident of course was denied by the rap artist on his Twitter account, however police confirmed the crime did take place on the streets of San Fran while 2 Chainz was walking around with his entourage and security. Despite the police confirming the crime did indeed occur, the “I’m Different” star still tried to denied he was robbed until the video footage from the surveillance camera was posted to TMZ. After everyone could see 2 Chainz and his crew running away from the robbers, his security admitted they ran off because 2 Chainz ran away first.
2 Chainz explained why he ran away from the robbers in a recent interview, explaining big guns in his face was enough for him to get moving:
“I saw the gun first. It was like a .357. It was so heavy he couldn’t really hold it. The gun was so big. That’s what made me take off running. … When I went into the street, there was another dude with a whole ‘nother gun. … That’s when I knew it wasn’t like an episode of Punk’d. I was like this is real…I had bullet fragments in my hair…I think he thought he shot me. … I’m just excited about life. I’m so turnt up, you can’t turn me down. … I’m just geeked about life. Then when I saw the footage, I’m like it was real. They was on my a*s! This was a sign. That’s all it was. I come from this.”
As we reported recently, either the robbers themselves or associates of the criminals took to Instagram to post 2 Chainz’s license and bank card and gloated about jacking the rapper before quickly deleting the account. 2 Chainz responded on Twitter. He writes:
How u glorifying a n*gga. Who took a wallet, im from the streets , that ain’t robbing that’s ” pick pocketing”
Cards get canceled and license cost 5 dollars , been shot at before and vice versa, I’m here 4 a reason so get use to U CAN’T STOP DIS SHT
People just won’t let him move on from this I see…
It’s pretty sad that we live in a society where people make fun of other people for being scared for their lives when people put guns in their faces.
Agreed. And who puts the items they stole on Instagram? People are nuts.
So he’s still trying to save face huh?
I guess…I kind of wish people would just let it go already. He did what most would have done if they were put in the same situation.
Pick pocketing?! LOL! Umm no boo you were robbed in the daylight and on the streets!!
He’s still trying to be hard? Why? Gangstas don’t run from robbers and then trip and fall in the process to easily have their items taken. I felt kind of bad for him at first but now he’s irking me.

If you’re not street, don’t pretend to be just for the sake of being a rapper. You don’t have to be a thug to sell records anymore.
Someone should tell him pick pocketing is when someone takes something out of your pocket without you knowing with skill. He had guns stuck in his face and was shot at…that was NOT pickpocketing.
He’s still fronting like he hasn’t learned. Smh.
It don’t matter cause the dudes who robbed him gonna get locked up anyway if you stole somebody ID an credit card why post it on instagram f-cking dummy’s
Ahhhhhhhh shut up! You were robbed, lied about it, and got caught. Move on…you’re making matters worse.
