Rick Ross broke? More bad news for Maybach Music Group frontman Rick Ross. The rapper has finally managed to move past the Reebok dropping and made it clear in a recent interview he thinks losing his multimillion dollar endorsement over irresponsible lyrics could serve as a good lesson for other artists. However, losing the Reebok deal hasn’t been a pleasant experience for Rick Ross considering he has reportedly lost about $3 million from the terminated contract. So perhaps the recent lawsuit filed against Rozay could be just another casualty resulting from the backlash of those pretty reckless lyrics in the remix to “U.O.E.N.O.” According to TMZ, the rapper is being sued for allegedly not paying for Rolexes:
Rick Ross has just been sued for being so sophisticated … he forgot to pay a nearly $90,000 bill for three Rolexes he bought last year — this according to a new lawsuit.
Johnny’s Custom Jewelry in Texas filed the suit against Ross and his company Maybach Music, claiming the rapper agreed to purchase 3 diamond Rolexes last August for a total of $89,847.50.
According to Johnny’s, the Rolexes include one 18K gold watch with 30CT of diamonds ($55,000), one 18K gold watch with 7CT of diamonds ($14,000), and one two-tone watch with 5CT of diamonds ($14,000).
In the suit filed, the jewelry company claims it followed through entirely with its part of the bargain and even deliver the watches to the rapper. However, Rick Ross still hasn’t allegedly paid the bill, hence bringing on the lawsuit.
Maybe it’s because I’m not rich, but $90,000 for some watches? That’s insane.
He’s worried about getting $90k worth of watches and won’t understand why he’s broke 10 years from now.
Exactly. We’ve seen it happen too many times for them to still be ignorant about their spending. But it’s their money, so it’s their right to spend it how they choose…now matter how stupid they act with it.
People still buy rolexes?
I’d love to hear more about rappers investing their money and staring businesses. But I guess that’s not what most of them do. Rick Ross is out here pretending like he’s a boss and he’ll be looking for a job in a few years at this rate.
You know they did a study on wealthy people and most of them don’t spend their money on frivolous material things. I was shocked to learn Bill Gates wears K-Mart clothes and Warren Buffet has driven the same non luxury car for over two decades. New money is too ignorant to get that it’s flashing that will make you broke guaranteed.
I read that study. I was shocked because the way so many people hop on Facebook, IG and Twitter to floss you would think that’s what wealthy people do too. But they are the exact opposite. That’s why they keep wealth in their family for many generations. A lot of people need to read a book and understand their mentality about money is very flawed.
LOL. Why is it some important to show off? These rappers are so clueless.
Yeah he’s still hurting from losing that Reebok deal! It’s not like his artists sell records! He needed that endorsement!
You’d think after all that flossing he does on his Instagram he could pay for those watches.
Those prices don’t even sound right when your considering that an 18k gold day date rolex should be around 30k on its own without the diamonds. I don’t trust rappers or their ‘jewelers’ when it comes down to brass tax
