DMX Claps Back at Report of DUI Arrest in South Carolina

DMX arrested in South Carolina for DUI? DMX’s problems with the law and alleged drug abuse are two things people feel are hindering the rapper from getting his music career back on track. And although DMX admitted to finding some enjoyment in serving time in prison, the rapper felt it was time to make a true effort to fix the broken relationships he has with his former wife Tashera Simmons and his son Xavier Simmons. His appearance on “Iyanla: Fix My Life” didn’t help him at all though according to the rapper. After wanting to sue life coach Iyanla Vanzant for supposedly making him look bad, DMX has since moved on from the controversy surrounding his “Fix My Life” appearance. And he is even looking to tie the knot again after pictures surfaced of the woman said to be his new fiancee rocking an engagement ring. DMX may be getting his love life in order, but the rapper’s run-ins with the law are still continuing as DMX was reportedly arrested for a DUI in South Carolina this morning, TMZ reports:

Highway patrol picked up DMX — real name Earl Simmons — Friday around 3 AM ET for allegedly driving under the influence.

X was in and out of the Greenville County Detention Center pretty quickly … around 4 AM ET. He’s experienced.

The website also claims this is not the first time DMX has found himself in some trouble in South Carolina as earlier this year he got busted for driving without a license in the state.

DMX’s rep is now claiming the rapper did get arrested and had his mugshot taken, but he didn’t get charged with a DUI, RumorFix reports:

“Allegations about DMX being arrested for drunk driving are false,” his rep, Domenick Nati, tells us.

“He was arrested early this morning but quickly released, X was given a Breathalyzer test and easily passed it,” the rep added.
