Will Oprah ever marry Stedman? Oprah Winfrey is by far one of the wealthiest and most successful women on the planet. And although her reign as a talk show host is now over, Oprah’s career is still going strong as she has gotten back to the acting side of things with her role in the new Lee Daniels’ film “The Butler.” While the media mogul is always on the go and finding new ways to grow her empire, Oprah makes time for her love life as she has been dating longtime boyfriend Stedman Graham for about 27 years. And because of how long they have been together, many want to know what’s keeping Oprah and Stedman from making things official.
During her recent appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” Oprah chatted with Andy Cohen about her role in “The Butler” and her feelings about getting married. When asked if she ever planned on getting hitched to Stedman, Oprah says she doesn’t think she wants to become a wife because things are going so well between them and marriage may ruin their relationship. And she says her good friend legendary singer Tina Turner even had her doubts about getting married again after how things turned out with her previous marriage to ex-husband Ike Turner.
“I don’t know if I want to do that. You know why? It’s really good right now. And when you add that “wife” thing, then it’s too much…I was at Tina’s [Turner] wedding and she finally did it. But she basically did it for legal reasons. She was really hesitant too. You know, she’d been through that Ike thing. She didn’t want somebody to be able to control her in any way.”

I’m pretty sure Stedman and Oprah have had their fair share of problems. So I’m not sure why she made these comments.

Only if you marry the wrong person!
To each its own but these two have been together for so long they are practically married anyway. People let the title intimidate them but they act married. Never got that.

I completely disagree and Oprah need to keep it real only reason why she not getting married to Stedman is to protect her fortune it’s all about the money. So save that BS.
So marriage ruins things huh? Well explain all these baby mamas and baby daddies out here with just as many problems as married people?

Oprah is making excuses because Stedman does not want to marry her, she should have moved on years ago
at one point she said she wanted to get married and have children. She held her self back instead of finding a man that wanted the same thing she wanted.SMH
Oprah needs to keep things like this to herself. There are too many women (young and old) that look up to her for various reasons. This right here sends the wrong message. Marriage has the stigma it does because people don’t value or respect it. It’s not marriage that messes up a good relationship….people mess up good relationships. For her to be so smart, she’s really dumb. With a perspective like that, I wouldn’t ever want her giving me advice on life…
