Kelly Rowland is still working diligently to take her solo R&B career to new heights and since the future of R&B group Destiny’s Child is looking very bleak, she’s fighting hard to become the big star many of her fans feel she should be. Interestingly enough, Kelly’s approach to her current studio album “Talk a Good Game” was to open up more and reveal more of herself this time around through her music, and the album itself was a lot more sexual than her past music. She even opened up about her past abusive relationship and how it affected her friendship with superstar Beyonce. While many originally suspected the lyrics to her single “Dirty Laundry” were confirming she was jealous of Beyonce’s success, Kelly says she isn’t jealous of Bey and she actually wants to be on her own level instead of trying to be on Beyonce’s.

First week album sales for Kelly’s latest album were lower than the first week sales of her previous album and she pulled in around 65k. Interestingly enough, former “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta” star K. Michelle is expected to beat Kelly out with the first week sales of “Rebellious Soul.” It appears Kelly is not giving up on the album though as one of the songwriters revealed in a recent interview the singer plans to re-release the new album.  Lonny Bereal tells Kemprire Radio:

“I vocal produced over half of the [Talk a Good Game] project and we wrote two songs that may be on the re-release that I wrote with Kelly and Jado. She’s back in the studio, even today, back in the studio creating new music.”

Kelly’s camp hasn’t confirmed a re-release is in the works as of yet but the singer did post a photo of herself in the studio the other day to Instagram:

    1. Me either. I just felt the music was subpar this time around and she was trying too hard to be a sex kitten. I still hope she finds her way though.

  1. Kelly just give it up. Hope and pray Beyonce wants to do Destiny’s Child again because that solo career ain’t happening. Ever.

  2. Had she not have made all her interviews about Beyonce she wouldn’t have to re-release her album. She still doesn’t get it I see.
