Another Wale Twitter beef? The Hip Hop world was turned upside down after Kendrick Lamar’s verse on the Big Sean track “Control” went viral. In the now very notable rap verse, Kendrick not only asked his fellow emcees to start back bringing their “A game” with their bars, but he called out some of his own peers by name and asked them to step up lyrically because that’s what he feels Hip Hop needs right now. While some took the name dropping to be some sort of diss, there are some Hip Hop heads who feel those who were not named were the ones who were actually dissed. Apparently Wale feels the same way considering he told a TMZ paparazzi he’s not angry at all about Kendrick naming him in the verse, but he would have been offended if his name wasn’t brought up in the controversial lyrics. He recently told the TMZ pap:

“I’d been offended if my name wasn’t in that sh*t. So shout out to TDE and shout out to Kendrick. I’d a felt a way if my name wasn’t in the verse.

“I still feel like I’m the best rapper on the planet. I feel like that. You should too TMZ.”

Well it looks like Jennifer Hudson’s fiancé is not only a huge fan (and now professional wrestler) of the WWE and David Otunga’s love for Hip Hop was on full display when he got involved in the Twitter debate regarding rappers people felt should not have been named in Kendrick’s epic verse.

David actually decided to tweet Wale and tell him he shouldn’t have been named but of course Wale wasn’t having it (read tweets from top to bottom):

      1. Agreed! But you know that Oprah is her mentor.. and you already know Oprah aint married Stead-fast…. J-hud aint no dummy… she’s a beard and she knows her dude is broke. Why sign some paperwork with that?

  1. I don’t know why David mentioned Wale like he wasn’t going to respond. He lives for Twitter beefs. That’s pretty much all he does all day.

  2. Wale is so corny. But he had a point. How can David talk about someone else being overshadowed when he’s only relevant for being with Jennifer Hudson? Even a WWE career didn’t change that.
