K. Michelle got instant fame during the first season of VH1’s hit show “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta.” On the show (and in real life), it was made clear on numerous occasions that the reality star and R&B singer has no qualms speaking her mind and she will always stand up for herself when she feels like she is being attacked. After engaging in numerous beefs with her cast mates, K. Michelle decided that it would be best for her not to return for another season of the show. Instead, she confirmed season two would be her last and she would instead do a season of “Love and Hip Hop New York,” and then transition into her own show on the same network. With the recent release of her first studio album “Rebellious Soul” many of the singer’s fans are excited to see her focus more on her music, and her new show and appearance on LHHNY will have cameras show just that.

In her recent interview with Sister 2 Sister Magazine (she covers the September issue), K. Michelle opens up about the misconceptions she thinks people have about her thanks to reality television. She says:

“There’s a lot of them, but I think people are starting to see. You’d think I just pop off, but you don’t see I’ve had a full conversation with this individual. You just see me curse them out. You know it’s gotta be a villain every season. Somebody’s got to bring the ratings. It falls on me; I take it. It is what it is. But I think people need to understand that I’m not always angry. I’m very calm. My manager always says I’m the most giving person out of any artist that he’s ever met. I will do anything for anybody.”

On her upcoming reality show, K. Michelle claims viewers will finally get to see “the real” her. When asked if she thinks people got to see the real her on LHHATL, she says:

“No, you see the angry me, but this show is more my move to New York. Like, I’m just getting in my house this week in New York. Now we found the furniture—all of this kind of stuff, and just my growth as an artist and me dating again and just me being a mother and my real friends, not the friends that I’ve been put with.”

K. Michelle also had a recent interview with Power 99 and when asked about her recent beef with LHH’s Erica Mena, she said flat out Erica is desperate for a storyline and she refuses to shoot scenes with her and diminish her brand. When asked if they are feuding, she says:

“No. I don’t care. I’ve never seen or talked to this girl a day in my life. And yes, it’s like when things happen, good for you, people cannot take it and the thing about it is even the producers of VH1 said that this girl is looking for a storyline. She wants to get on camera. She has been asking to get on camera with me.

“You have my word, you will never see me and Erica Mena on the same screen ever, ever together. I would never even diminish my brand like that.”

  1. She looks hawt! At this point, she can’t act a fool on TV. Her label isn’t having it. And that’s a good thing.

  2. LOL at her getting Erica together. Erica thought she was going to have her a good storyline this season. Fail.

  3. I can’t stand Erica. She has no substance and has to fight to get camera time, so why keep her on the show?

  4. I think I will watch her new show when it comes out. It will be interesting to see more of her real life. Congrats to her for all her new successes.

  5. She will continue to act a fool and talk about people on tv for ratings like a lot of the other people on reality tv. She is no different. That fake making up she did, only because she was asked too! She’s is as fake as her wigs, teeth, and butt. She’s known for being fake on tv rather than her music. What a shame.
