Naomi Campbell Gets Offered Her Own Talk Show

Supermodel Naomi Campbell has managed to take on legendary status considering she walks down the runway like no other, but one of fashion’s biggest stars decided to take a page out of Tyra Bank’s book and take a chance at taking her career to the smaller screen. Tyra was able to find success with her modeling competition show “America’s Next Top Model,”  but the show’s declining popularity made room for Naomi’s own modeling competition show “The Face.” Naomi and Tyra were rumored to be feuding because Naomi made the choice to go forward with the show, but Naomi recently denied the rumors and claimed that the modeling industry is always trying to pit women of color against each other.

Now that the show is a big success, whispers in the industry suggest Naomi may have gotten some even bigger offers. According to a new report from the Daily Mail, the supermodel was approached to do her own talk show. The show has reportedly been offered by a major network, and the offer is supposedly a result of Naomi proving that her hot head days may be behind her considering she’s been performing well in difficult interviews as of late. The source tells the Daily Mail:

“Naomi recently gave a lot of tough news interviews on the subject of Diversity in Fashion and she excelled and really found her role as intelligent commentator and pundit fulfilling. She’s had offers from Kate Couric, The Today Show and The View for her to be a guest commentator and/or anchor.”

Naomi is said to be putting the talk show idea on hold until she wraps up “The Face Australia,” and she has been very busy as of late condemning what she claims is racism in fashion, as she is now demanding that more fashion labels start using black models in their runway shows and marketing campaigns. A talk show could be great timing for Naomi, especially since Queen Latifah and Wendy Williams are proving that women of color can find success in the talk show market post Oprah Winfrey.
