R&B singer and reality star K. Michelle was smart to use “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta” as a platform to bring some life to her music career because just months after the first season wrapped up, she inked a record deal with Warner Bros. Her first studio album “Rebellious Soul” had strong first week sales and her first single “V.S.O.P” is currently in the top ten for songs that are getting the most spins on the radio. While her music career appears to really be taking off these days, her time in reality television is far from over, and although K. Michelle will not be appearing on season three of “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta,” she will appear on season four of the New York version, and her very own reality show with Elle Varner is expected to premiere in the fall.

In addition to K. Michelle’s career going good, K. Michelle’s personal life also seems to be looking up these days and her romance with NBA player Lance Stephenson is still going strong. However, we’re sure K. Michelle isn’t too happy about the hefty tax bill the IRS just reportedly slapped her with.

TMZ is reporting K. Michelle was just hit with a $52,415.09 tax lien. According to documents, she didn’t pay enough in taxes in 2008 and 2009, the early stages of her music career.

Of course the very outspoken K. Michelle has already clapped back at the reports, and she told fans that the situation has already been settled. She posted the following photo and writes in the caption:

Another day another headline. No jail time for me yet. Your stuck with me.

  1. Her hair is red…is she trying to look like rihanna?……….since rihanna now owns the rights to the color red….lol

  2. Lets go back to that time period. True K. Michelle did sign a new record deal in 2008, but remember she told us that Memphitz had spend a huge chunk of the money and she was dam near homeless shortly after. She didn’t really start making real money until after the first season of LHHA. Dec. 2012 is when she signed her new multi-million dollar album deal and when LHHA gave her a nice raise for season 2. So when you put all of that in perspective, IRS is getting paid on time.
