Miguel DUI arrest update? R&B singer Miguel is without a doubt one of the genre’s brightest spots currently and most will agree that Miguel deserves to get the recognition he’s finally getting for his talent. But with a bigger spotlight in most cases comes more drama and things have been pretty crazy for the singer since he accidentally leg dropped one of his own fans at the Billboard Music Awards. It was reported that the victim was considering filing a lawsuit against Miguel to cover her medical expenses, and since there’s hasn’t been any more news on the incident, most seem to think the singer must have just settled quietly to make the story go away. Now that the incident is finally behind him, he’s developed more problems and this time it’s his recent DUI arrest.

As we reported recently, Miguel was arrested weeks ago for DUI,  here’s a snippet of the article we wrote on the incident after TMZ broke the story:

According to the website, Miguel was arrested early Thursday morning for allegedly driving drunk in Los Angeles. Sources claim the police originally pulled him over for speeding and driving around with tinted windows. However, officers noticed the singer reeked of alcohol, and Miguel was asked to perform a series of sobriety tests he ended up failing. He also took a breathalyzer and blew a .10 and a .11. The legal limit in California is .08.

Miguel was later charged with DUI and his attorney appeared in court on Thursday to enter the not guilty plea on his behalf (Miguel was not in attendance) according to Rumor Fix. The next court date has been set for October 24.
