Reality starlet Kim Kardashian has a lot on her plate these days as she attempts to balance new motherhood and maintaining the success of her reality TV empire. However, she finds herself the target of backlash again after she posted a controversial selfie of her post pregnancy body to her Instagram account. Even though her beau Kanye West made it clear that he loved her photo, plenty of folks on social media made it clear that they didn’t appreciate seeing the new mommy going for sexy in a white bathing suit. Most of Kim’s critics deem her as someone who is famous for absolutely no reason at all, and they have slammed the family’s business endeavors and have written the clan off as being lazy people who got lucky. Kim had a recent interview with Vogue UK and she clapped back at the criticism she received when she was pregnant and the public’s perception of her family.
On her pregnancy body, she says:
“For me, having people criticise what I wore and looked like when I was pregnant – that was hard. t made me feel insecure, so I have tried to avoid the limelight more. Once you start focusing on the other stuff, the fragrances and our fashion line, you stop worrying about the rest.”
She also sticks up for her family, and says they are not lazy in the least bit:
“The biggest misconception about my family and me is that we’re lazy. I work hard; the show is a full-time job. Sometimes I don’t think people realize that – we work 7am until 7pm on the program [reality show]. People think, ‘Well, what do they do?’ We do so much, we work on the show, on fragrances, on our fashion line – there’s a lot. Also, people have this idea that my mom [Kris Jenner] controls us all and will her book her kids to do anything if it makes money. I am in my thirties – my mom can’t tell me what to do.”
Yes because laying on your back is soooooo hard.
So she thinks working 12 hours is hard work when most Americans work more hours than that a day? And her a perfume line she had NOTHING to do with is hard too? And a fashion line she didn’t even design herself is hard? Girl sit down.

I’ve watched a few episodes of their show and they were comparing v-ginas and talking about v-brators. And that’s work? LOL.
It baffles me how much people judge for things that if it was in their control to do they would. Maybe not put out a sex tape but who are we to judge. She as well as her family are speaking on what is hard work for them. With What was left by Robert Kardashian to his children and how smart they obviously are, they could have been very well off without doing anything except maybe investments and stores without all the public stuff. Who makes them famous, we do. Obviously they have a huge following because they stay in the spotlight and in the news and on E!. How many shows have they had and their ratings have to have been through the roof to still be on the air. In my opinion they are a family that shows people that they don’t have to have any specific talent like singing, acting or sports to be successful, famous and wealthy because how many of the population really have those talents. I would not call them a rags to riches story but they can still be considered an inspiration because they are smart enough and obviously business savvy enough to build this empire everybody on here is hoping to watch crumble (which will never happen). No she is not a role model for my daughter but she does deserve respect. Or just ignore her, but why judge so harshly?
Do you even know what judge means? I guess not. But I swear you do this on every Kim K post. Look, we don’t have to like her nor do we have to respect her. The K’s get press because they PAY for it. That was confirmed in the deposition Kim had for her divorce from Kris Humphries. You’re the gullible person that puts money in their pocket. So we’re supposed to admire a family who plays dirty and paid for fame? And their ratings are not through the roof. The ratings have dropped and for Kim and her fam to be on the blogs all day long, there should be way more than 2.5 million people watching the show each episode. You’re a perfect example of people who have been brainwashed by that family to think there is anything admirable about them. Not everyone is drinking the same kool aid you’re drinking.
And I’m even more annoyed that you said the K’s are an example that someone can get successful without knowing how to sing, dance, act, etc. So let me guess, you’ve never heard of the people that found Google? Facebook? Apple? Guess what, all of them are richer than Kim and they didn’t have to disgrace themselves to get their money. I’m pretty sure the young black girl I just read about who founded her own hair care line was inspired by real people who used their intelligence to start a business and not their sex tape. You’re too easily impressed. Girl goodbye.
