Royce Reed talks about Basketball Wives? Former “Basketball Wives” star Royce Reed may not be on the controversial reality show anymore, but she has already made it clear she doesn’t miss her stint with VH1 not one bit. These days, Royce stays very busy as the owner of her dance company Fantashique, and a very low-key love life, something she wasn’t able to do while she was on the show. VH1 recently chatted it up with Royce and she caught the network up with how life has been for her after her time on “Basketball Wives.” Here are the highlights of the interview.

When asked how her dance company Fantashique is doing, Royce says:

“Fantashique is definitely thriving. We have ninety five members in the Orlando branch, and we have six companies and four competition teams. We also just expanded to Atlanta and have plans to expand to five cities in five years. And we’re trying to pitch a show for Fantashique, too. Other than that, I’m still working on my second book, I know I keep putting it off and people keep asking me about it, but I have so much going on that I don’t have time to write, and I don’t want a ghostwriter. I pride myself on writing my own stuff, but it’s coming sooner or later.”

On why working with young girls through Fantashique made her regret being on the show:

“This generation is very, very scary. The stuff we go through with these girls is more real that saying “Oh, you’re talking about me?” [Being on the show], I felt like I was being a hypocrite, because I’m on a show where there’s like, constant fighting, and yet I’m sitting here trying to voice something different. As much as I enjoyed the checks, it wasn’t worth contradicting myself and doing something I didn’t really believe in. I felt kinda like I was selling my soul. I was totally fine with the way I went out last season, you saw me doing my career, you saw me being me.”

Royce also confirms that she is still dating NFL player Dezmon Briscoe, the same man who she recently busted for cheating on her with his baby mama:

“Dezmon and I are good. We went through some bad times and for the past year it was very on and off, really it was a lot of off. I learned from doing this show that relationships last longer when no one knows your business. With that said Dezmon and I are on good terms.”

And when asked if she keeps in touch with anyone from the show, she says she is still cool with Tami Roman, Jennifer Williams, Kenya Bell and Kesha Nichols. However, she says she still doesn’t care for Evelyn Lozada or Shaunie O’Neal.

  1. That football player is too young for her. He doesn’t know how to be grown and in a relationship. He’s probably still messing with his BM and other women.

  2. I’m glad Royce got some sense and moved on from that horrid show. Now if VH1 could get the memo and cancel this crap already,

  3. I am glad Royce is thriving in her business but her relationship w/ that boy would the same regardless of bbw because he is a CHEATER it was found out he was a cheater sooner because they were on reality tv and everything is exposed. Royce just doesn’t have a clue because now he probably can cheat in more comfortably because now groupies or his baby mama won’t get jealous when they see him on tv with Royce.

  4. I like Royce but she’s not thinking this whole Dez thing through. Hiding a relationship is not what makes it better. All that does is just makes it easier for people to cheat without the drama because people don’t know they are in a relationship. If you have to keep your relationship a secret, it’s not a good sign.
