Kerry Washington’s camp confirmed some big news earlier this week as it’s been reported that the actress is currently pregnant with her first baby with husband Nnamdi Asomugha. But she’s also having another very big first moment and that’s her first appearance on “Saturday Night Live.” As we reported recently, Kerry will host this week’s live taping of the hit show and it’s a major moment for all African Americans because she is the first black woman to host the show since former SNL star Maya Rudolph left the show in 2012. The show is currently under fire for not having a black woman on the cast, so many feel it’s a good look for NBC to invite one of the leading black actresses on the show as a host.
The “Scandal” star shot a few promos for the upcoming episode, and she as usual did a great job of concealing her growing baby bump. We’ve seen Kerry be so serious as Olivia Pope that it’s refreshing to see her silly side in these SNL promos. Peep it below:
Don’t forget to tune in to NBC at 11:30pm tonight to see Kerry host the show.
Now I’m going to always be looking at her face to see if she looks pregnant. LOL!
Ha me too. I do that to everyone who’s preggers. She’s gorgeous and glowing. I’m happy for her.
Aww she’s glowing.
She looks gorgeous.
Kerry, I love your style.
I will be tuning in.
She can only hide that baby bump for so long…
She looks great either way.
How often do you see a black woman hosting SNL? I love it. GO KERRY!
Pregnancy is giving Kerry a wonderful glow.
I forgot she was hosting tonight. Thanks for the reminder UB.
