Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj’s feud has been an ongoing story in Hip Hop, but Nicki recently expressed that she’s ready to move on from the beef and she hoped she and Kim could make peace at some point. Lil Kim took to Twitter to make it clear she has no interest in starting anew with Nicki, and she made it even more clear in her recent interview with XXL Magazine that she’s still not impressed with the Young Money superstar.

When she was asked if she believed female rappers are still struggling to find their “collective voice,” she took the opportunity to throw a little shade Nicki’s way. She says:

“Yeah, definitely, because you have other women out there who want to be by themselves. They don’t get the art of unity and what inspired that. You can’t come in the game and think, ‘Oh, okay, I’m going to be the only one out here. I don’t want to stand in the line with no other chicks.’ It’s still a struggle because when a woman makes it to the top, it wasn’t like that when we were out. When we made it to the top, the real divas—me, Missy, Eve—we had no problem standing in a line. Look, let’s get this money. We did songs together. We just kept continuously doing it even when we didn’t like each other. We did photo shoots even when we couldn’t stand each other. It was more real. Nowadays, it’s just females are jealous. And they want to act like the girl who is responsible for all this doesn’t exist. That’s whack. That’s real corny, but things will change. That’s the one thing for certain—two things for sure. Things will change.”

Kim also revealed that she feels she will always be the queen of the female rap game. When asked if she feels she deserves more respect, she says:

“I don’t give a f*ck. It’s whatever. At this point, it is what it is. The streets made me. They stay at me. There’s nothing that’s gonna take away from my legacy. I’m sorry. It is what it is. I’m dying this way. With the crown on my head, nobody can take nothing away from me. It is what it is. I am who I am. Bottom line.”

In related news, Kim recently dropped a new track. Check out “I Am Kimmy Blanco” below:

  1. *yawns* I love that Nicki is always on Kim’s mind, but Nicki’s too busy to think about Kim because she’s so busy winning and making money. Meanwhile Kim had to steal her mixtape cover from Instagram. 🙂

  2. I think someone in Kim’s camp needs to tell her to stop shading Nicki in all of her interviews. It makes her look like she’s inferior. There’s a reason Beyonce never talks about her competition. If you’re a queen, there’s no need to address Nicki over and over again, right?

  3. It’s funny Kim says Nicki doesn’t want to collab with other females because she’s the jealous one, but I sensed nothing but jealousy from Kim in this interview. LOL.

  4. Kim didn’t play her cards right. Say what you wanna about Ms. Nicki Minaj but she has a LOT of fans. That’s why she blew up so fast. By beefing with Nicki, Kim has become huge target of a fan base that could have helped her make a comeback. She burned bridges with a new generation and now she has to settle for recording mixtapes that will never drop. But Foxy Brown embraced Nicki and got new fans because of it.

  5. Lil Kim is not the queen of anything. She didn’t write her own lyrics and Nicki has achieved more than she never has in a few years. Nicki is the queen. Period.

  6. Kim ain’t been dope in years. She can be mad at Nicki all she wants, but the real blame for her falling off so hard is herself, Biggie’s death and these lame tracks she keeps putting out. Now who over 21 years old wants to hear this trash? And now she can’t get to the young people because she tried Nicki. She’s not very clever.

  7. Kim is hurting her legacy by all these lame songs and stolen album covers…she should have taken a page out of Latifah’s playbook and gotten serious into another area like acting, etc. She’s running her rap legacy with this stupid Nicki beef and terrible mix tapes.

  8. Kim is way too old to be calling herself Kimmy Blanco. I think Kim fell off because she never evolved as an artist. All these years later and this is the best she could do? This song is disappointing.

  9. It’s over Kim. Even talking about Nicki won’t help you. Tell your fans to get off of Twitter and actually go buy your music.

  10. She really needs to stop trying to take shots at Nicki and focus on her own career. She was supposed to drop that mixtape like last week and she never did. She’s not even telling her fans when to expect it. She’s not acting like she’s been in the game for all these years. Where’s the professionalism? I’m very disappointed.

  11. Kim looks very bitter right now. Nicki even said she looks up to Kim and she’s one of her idols. She also said she wants to drop the beef and move forward. And yet here’s Kim acting like a 12 year old. Let it go Kim, you’re making yourself look like the hater now.

  12. Kim will always be my girl, I was listening to hardcore just last night, and oh boyeeeee MEMORIES… Kim need to think of Kim & Kim Only.

She would be relevant if she wasn’t so stuck on this Brooklyn Gangster Miss stuff. She should’ve went POP F Hip Hop ( BIG VOICE)

  13. smh I like Kim and all, but she needs to stop. She’s tarnishing her own history by her present actions. This beef is so petty and dried up, time to move on to focusing on yourself Kim.
