K. Michelle wasn’t too happy to learn that she didn’t end up with any Grammy nominations, especially since her rival Tamar Braxton racked up three. The former “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta” star took to Twitter and addressed what she considers to be a snub and told her fans she believes she was overlooked because she’s a little too real in her lyrics.

We’re assuming some of her fans feel the same way because the other day one of them suggested that she should consider writing lyrics for all ethnicities, and that’s when the singer made it clear she has no intentions on changing her music to “fit in.”

  1. K. Michelle is overthinking it. She will have to change her music to get a Grammy. No offense but her lyrics weren’t all that and I’m sure she can only get better. Tamar had the better album and better songwriting.

  2. Girl stop. Your first album was decent but you have a lot of growing to do. Stop taking the Grammy thing to heart. There’s plenty of time to get a Grammy.

  3. I agree with the first poster. The issue is really her attitude. She burns a lot of bridges because of her mouth. I think she should calm it down and focus on her music. Get off of Twitter and stop responding to every negative thing someone says.

  4. Well maybe her music wasn’t really Grammy material this time around. It’s not a big deal. I think artists get too caught up in awards and accolades. Just make good music and your time will eventually come. Plenty of people were snubbed this year…no big deal.

  5. Maybe it’s just me but I think her songs had some simple a-s lyrics. I don’t think the album warranted Grammy noms.
