Twitter is blowing up over Wale’s alleged beef with Complex Magazine, and the magazine staff is claiming that the rapper called their offices furious when he learned his latest album “The Gifted” did not make its “50 Best Albums of 2013” list.

The conversation was already a heated one as the rapper reportedly screamed about not making the cut and he honestly believes he didn’t make it for personal reasons. He angrily tells Insanul Ahmed:

“At this point, you know it’s got to be personal. You telling me it’s not personal. It’s like a bold face lie. To be omitted from every type of list that y’all do or be at the bottom of it or every type of way that y’all can omit me, ya will.”

He also refused to believe that Juicy J’s latest album “Stay Trippy” is better than his:

“You mean to tell me Juicy J album better than mine? Is that what you trying to tell me?”

Things then got worse when he decided it would be appropriate to threaten the magazine staff with bodily harm. He reportedly screams the following in the phone:

“I swear to God I’ll come to that office and start knocking n*ggas the f*ck out. Alright. I’ll see y’all tomorrow. Get the security ready.”

Wale hasn’t responded to the report as of yet.

Update: Now there’s audio of the conversation. It’s definitely not safe for work:

  1. So Wale has taken a page out of Kanye’s playbook. These rappers need to toughen up and get their emotions in check.

  2. LOL the hell? This is such a coward move. He shouldn’t even let that list bother him because there’s plenty of albums that shouldn’t have made the cut anyway. He can’t let the opinions of others cause him to act like a fool.

  3. I can understand his frustration. Complex put quite a few trash albums on that list and his album was actually very decent. But oh well. It happens. No need to get out of pocket and get out on blast by the blogs for it.

  4. LOL. Wale is such a queen so I can’t say I’m surprised by this. I’m surprised he didn’t rant on Twitter about it too.

  5. Rick Ross needs to come get his artist. Pronto before he catches a charge over some list that doesn’t even really matter.

  6. Just another reason I can’t get into Wale. His queen antics turn me off and remind me of Kanye. I can’t stand male divas.
