Kelly Rowland has finally confirmed that she is engaged to her manager Tim Witherspoon. The singer recently stopped by “The Queen Latifah” show and broke the news many have been suspecting for weeks. interestingly enough, she says her man proposed to her via Skype while she was in Bulgaria:
“He asked me first on Skype. We’re so far away from each other.
“But it was so late, I remember we were both just kinda like, honestly, just staring at each other. And he asked me, and it was just that simple to say yes. I was like, ‘I got my best friend to ride through life with.’ He really is my best friend.”
Kelly also revealed that she’s been dating Tim secretly for years:
“It’s been a while. We’ve kept it very, very low—for years, to be completely honest.”
Congrats again to Kelly.

There’s nothing wrong with a man proposing on Skype. He only did it that way because she was away from him and out of the country. My man proposed on the phone and we’ve been married for ten years. Y’all young girls want these flashy proposals you can post to YouTube just so you will end up divorcing in two to five years. Young people put more effort into the proposal and the engagement ring than the actual marriage. I swear young people worry about the wrong things.

I didn’t have a flashy proposal either. But my marriage is awesome and that’s all that really matters. 🙂
