Beyonce’s self-titled album is doing the kind of numbers her critics thought she could no longer do considering she’s been in the music business for over 16 years. Regardless, she managed to put out the fastest selling album in iTunes history without even taking the time to promote the album before she released it.

The album became her longest number one album to date (it was number one for three straight weeks), and although it’s been out for over a month already, it’s still breaking records.

According to Chart News, “Beyonce” is now the fastest selling digital album of all time. In fact, the album is the fastest to hit one million downloads.

And the album has already sold over two million copies worldwide, and she’s already officially platinum in the US. These accolades are quite impressive considering two major retailers decided early on to not sell the album.

Congrats to Beyonce.

In related news, Beyonce officially has another number one single. According to Billboard, “Drunk in Love” is number one on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart. And with a Grammy performance coming up with her hubby Jay Z, it could give the single a massive bump on the Billboard Hot 100 chart (the song is currently listed at number 12). This makes Bey’s sixth number one single on the R&B chart.

Oh and if that’s not enough good news for Beyonce, the singer and her hubby Jay Z also topped Billboard’s Power 100 list.

The couple nabbed the honor because of the very innovative ways they released their latest albums, with both albums going platinum pretty quickly.
