R&B singer Miguel made headlines when it was confirmed he was arrested last year for DUI, but now the singer can breathe easy because he just learned that he won’t have to serve any time in jail.

According to TMZ, Miguel was slapped with three years of informal probation instead.

The site reports:

The singer, who’s had huge hits like “Adorn” and “Beautiful” with Mariah Carey, tells TMZ, “Driving with alcohol in my system was reckless. I’m really sorry and I’m taking responsibility for this mistake.”

Judge Lynne Hobbs placed Miguel on 3 years informal probation, fined him $360, and ordered him to complete an alcohol ed class.

  1. Hopefully he won’t do it again. I don’t understand why he didn’t just call a taxi or get a driver in the first place.

  2. These celebs better get it together. Cops be handing out DUIs like candy now. They better make plans to get a driver or ride with a friend before they end up on TMZ. lol
