Every now and then we see something so ridiculous on Dr. Phil that we have to question its authenticity. Case in point, the other day a man and his wife made an appearance on the show, and it was very evident that their marriage is on the rocks.
The issue at hand is the husband feels his wife has let herself go, and he now feels he’s too attractive to stay with her.
But he will stay if she works on her appearance and starts looking more like Beyonce.
Marlon tells Dr. Phil:
“I’m the Jay Z of Illinois. I need a Beyonce on my arm when I go out. I like to look good. I like to be a solid ten. Right now my wife is like a five.”

I don’t think any married person should let themselves go, but there’s nothing wrong with his wife. She’s pretty and takes good care of herself. If he wanted a woman who will look perfect and be dolled up all day, maybe marriage isn’t for him. Even Beyonce doesn’t walk around dolled up in makeup and skimpy clothes all day. He has unrealistic expectations.
This is just sad. He’s a terrible husband.
I really hope they are just paid actors like the ratchets on Maury and Jerry Springer.
