Days ago it was speculated that Kelly Rowland was dropped from her record deal with Universal Republic, but it was later confirmed that she actually requested to be let go from the deal because she didn’t feel like she was being promoted enough.

Kelly seems to be in good spirits about cutting ties with the label and she tells Huff Post Live recently that she has no worries at all and feels good about not having a record deal at the moment:

“I feel like right now, I just needed something new and I’ve earned the right to make my own choices and make my own decisions. I wish them well, they wish me well. No hard feelings, I just needed a fresh, new start.”

When asked if she currently has any offers on the table for a new label home, Kelly says:

“There are different offers on the table. I just want to see what it feels like. I’m just in the studio on my own and just having a really good time just being creatively free.”

In related news, perhaps Kelly isn’t bothered because she’s definitely not hurting for money. According to multiple reports, Kelly just inked a lucrative deal to be the new face for Caress Skin Care.

    1. Thank you. I feel like that’s the one thing she refuses to understand, oh and talking too much about Beyonce in interviews.

    1. Amen. She should have gotten the memo a long time ago since Bey doesn’t talk about her like that in interviews. lol
