Benzino was shot by his own nephew over the weekend during an argument en route to his mother’s funeral, and now it appears the reality star is opening up about the scary situation and he tells WXIA that it all stems from him feeling like his nephew was mistreating his mother:
“In the past I felt like, yes, I felt like my sister and my nephew was taking advantage of my mother. Yes.
“I spoke up about it years ago…
“There had been loans taken out on her house.”
Interestingly enough, the latest gossip suggests the whole thing might have been filmed for the upcoming season of “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta.” Illseed of All Hip Hop reports:
Well, I am hearing that the cameras from “Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta” were right up in the mix. Now, I’m hearing different things. I heard they were there when the actually shooting occurred. But – more reasonably – I heard they were mostly there for the aftermath and were taping for the show. Either way, the drama is coming! Whew! Very vulture-like! Then again, Zino had a bunch of there were all on Instagram, posting pics.
I won’t even be surprised if the cameras were there when the shooting took place. These networks don’t give a damn about any of these people. The only thing they care about is how many people are watching. It’s sad really.
VH1 has no shame.
I’m glad he’s doing better but he’s acting real thirsty for attention.
I knew this would end up on the show. Ugh these people don’t mind these networks pimping them out.
Now why am I not surprised that the cameras were there? LOL.
This better not be true. If all of this is on film Mona needs to be slapped.
I’m happy he didn’t die. Money brings out the worst in families. Smh.
This is the most attention Benzino has gotten ever.
I really hope the cameras did not catch him being shot. That is way too much!
I wouldn’t put it past VH1 to make sure the cameras caught the shooting and all the aftermath. Sadly this will be turned into a “storyline.” Smh.
All these reality stars are stupid. They are nothing but puppets and they get pennies to make fools out of themselves while the network execs get millions. They need to be smart and learn how to make money without exploiting themselves.
I knew this was all for the show.
Sigh…why does none of this surprise me? Anything for ratings.
Publicity stunt.
This ish was staged.
