The other day the internet went nuts after Jay Electronica’s track “We Made It” dropped because Jay Z decided to take jabs at Drake in his verse.

People are anticipating a response from Drake, but sources close to the Toronto rapper are saying he has no plans to engage in a beef with Jay Z. Illseed of All Hip Hop writes:

This is all people want to know these days! Forget that Malaysian Flight! WILL DRAKE RESPOND!?

The answer? No.

I am hearing that Drake has no ambitions to be embroiled in a beef with the man that almost ended Nas. In fact, I heard its even lighter fare than that. Drake wasn’t all that impressed. The internet is going nuts over it and Jay has single-handedly helped get Jay-E back into the game. That first single he dropped had a pretty big echo.

Drake may not plan to beef with Jay Z as of now, but we fully expect him to respond subliminally like he did with Kendrick Lamar.

  1. Drake got embarrassed by Common and Kendrick. He needs to leave the beefs alone because he usually ends up looking stupid anyway.

  2. It was a very catty interview. He actually talked slicked about two people he was cool with (Jay and Kanye). It was unnecessary and he shouldn’t make matters worse by responding to Jay Z.

  3. Drake did have a point in that interview in the sense that I can’t relate to Jay’s rhymes anymore. Rapping about Piscasso and Van Gogh paintings ain’t it.

    1. I agree I can’t relate to that, but can you relate to dropping stacks on strippers, doing/selling drugs, or blowing money on extravagant/unnecessary things that most other rappers currently talk about in their music? Drake brags about being rich frequently but feels some type of way because Jay-Z does it? That’s the part I don’t really understand

  4. LOL Drake is funny to me. He’s always trying to come for someone but won’t battle when challenged. Coward.

  5. Drake needs to keep his beefs limited to rappers like Future. Kendrick, Common and Jay would destroy him lyrically. IJS.
