Earlier in the week, it was reported that Beyonce and Jay Z were secretly planning to tour together this summer, but now it’s being confirmed by Billboard that the summer tour is indeed a done deal.

Billboard writes:

With sources confirming to Billboard that Jay Z and Beyonce will embark on a 20-city stadium tour in June, megaconcerts are making a comeback not seen since the mid-1990s.

Though Live Nation did not comment on the upcoming dates, this will mark Jay Z’s second summer in a row touring stadiums, after 2013’s Legends of Summer tour with Justin Timberlake, which grossed an average of $5 million per show for 14 dates, according to Billboard Boxscore. The pairing of Jay Z, 44, and Beyonce, 32 — who shared the No. 1 spot on this year’s Billboard Power 100 list — joins a growing club of acts who will be playing stadium dates this year including established hitmakers (Eminem, Rihanna), newbies (One Direction), veterans (Dave Matthews Band, Billy Joel) and country kings (George Strait, Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean).

In related news, photos of Beyonce and Jay Z getting cutesy on a motorcycle made rounds on social media yesterday and some seem to think the photos were taken while they were filming for a music video for “Part II (On The Run).” Check them out:

We’re actually thinking the photos could be used to promote their upcoming tour. Either way, the “Bound 2” music video comes to mind to most when they see these pictures, but considering how awkward that video was (Kanye also said it was supposed to be terrible), we’re thinking these photos have already outdone Kimye’s.

  1. I’m sure the video will be ten times better than anything Kim and Kanye have ever done together. Sorry.
