Beyonce, Jay Z and Solange may have issued an official statement asking the public and the media to move on from the elevator attack that went down at the Met Gala, but that won’t stop the speculation on why it occurred unfortunately.
As we recently reported, it’s been said by multiple sources that the cause of the drama was Jay Z’s inappropriate friendship with fashion designer Rachel Roy, and sources even claimed that Solange even yelled at her just hours before she went off on Jay Z.
But now more details are coming out and it appears that Beyonce actually confronted Rachel before things went left in the elevator.
E! News reports:
“At the gala, Rachel was being flirtatious with Jay,” a source exclusively tells E! News. “Once everyone was at the Boom Boom Room for the after-party, her flirtations were elevated.”
“Beyoncé approached Rachel to let her know the behavior was disrespectful and she wanted her out of their lives for good,” the source goes on. “Solange came over to have her sister’s back, and things got heated with her and Rachel. Jay said some disrespectful things to Beyoncé and Solange as the confrontation was going down. That’s why all hell broke loose in the elevator and why Beyoncé just stood back and let Solange hit Jay.”
As for Rachel, she hasn’t done much to dispute the gossip. Instead, she tweeted Jay Z lyrics on her Twitter account.
Now I really want to know what Jay said to Solange and Bey to make her go off like that.

Wendell Williams did say on her show that Rachel Roy was one of the so-called “interns” at Roca Wear back in the day, and that she was one of many who were passed around between Jay and Damon. I really thought that was Wendell being her usual messy, Bey-hating self. But she might actually be right for a change. Who knew?
Well Jay Z should have been the one to check Rachel, not Beyonce. He’s a marred man. If anyone needed to put Rachel in her place, it should have been him. This whole situation is just terrible.

You can tell by the way Bey was smirking and looking at Solange when they got off the elevator that she agreed with what she did. She was never mad at Solange. Just Jay Z. She didn’t even want him to go to Kelly’s wedding with her. That’s how I knew what time it was.

Rachel really has some nerve. Not only did she flirt with him in front of Bey and Solange, but she is still being messy about it on Twitter. Solange roundhouse kicked the wrong person that day. She should have given Rachel that footwork.

I still stand by what I said Solange should not have put her hands on Jay. This is a marital dispute between Jay and Bey not Jay, Bey, and Solange. If Jay was being flirtatious with Rachel it should have been addressed by Bey at home or by Bey solely. I understand taking up for family and her sister but that’s the problem in relationships today people don’t know their place. This situation needs to be handled between a husband and a wife.

I’m not trying to be messy but in a way, I think ElevatorGate wasn’t so bad after all. It actually makes Bey look more normal. We all have crazy family drama and to see her in that light makes me like her a little more. She’s human and it’s nice to see that side of her for a change. And I’m sure it’s not as scandalous as the media is making it. Mr. and Mrs. Carter will be fine.
