Nicki Minaj found more chart success with her current single “Anaconda” but that doesn’t mean The Breakfast Club’s Charlamagne has nice things to say about the track. In fact, he recently expressed that he hates the song and he is now claiming that admitting his dislike of the song has burned bridges with Nicki Minaj.

In a recent interview on The Brilliant Idiot podcast It’s Business like Show Business but Mind Your Business, Charlamagne revealed that Nicki unfollowed him on Twitter and even made calls to the radio station threatening to not to appear on The Breakfast Club again.
“I know she got upset when I said ‘Anaconda’ was corny,” said Charlamagne. “But my exact synopsis on ‘Anaconda’ when it first came out was I’m not really feeling this record. It’s not for me. It’s for girls, it’s for kids, it’s for people who like to shake their a*s. I said when the video comes out, I will probably appreciate this song more. But I said, ‘it’s going to work but its corny.’”
Lord, people and their feelings nowadays….*eye roll*

Now I don’t mind Nicki but she’s going to have to get tougher skin. You can’t go trying to get people fired for not liking your music. That’s petty as hell.

I can’t stand that song either I can’t blame Charlamagne. If I was Nicki I wouldn’t take it personal Charlamagne talks about everybody that’s his job.

I don’t like the song either, so that makes me wrong too? I like other songs that she has put out but not this one. Charlamagne said nothing wrong in my opinion, because at the end of the day its not a song for him. Any other time I have heard him speak on her and praise her for her work. So she unfollows him because he doesn’t like one song, thats sad.
Yea Charlamagne loves Nicki he has always been a big supporter of her. He was on her album this isn’t a good look for Nicki.
Agree….cause IMO the song is only likeable because of the sample……she just gave everybody a newer version of it.

Charlamagne has a lot of mouth and annoys me at times, but he’s always shown love to Nicki. Not liking ONE song doesn’t warrant him being fired nor does it cancel out his respect for her as an artist. It’s one song.
She’s had way better songs though. Anaconda just seems like one of her laziest songs TBH. I’m hoping her next single will be better.

I didn’t like the song at 1st either….but it’s cute. I could’ve written it myself it’s nothing special exactly how Char described it. I just enjoy shaking my a$$ to it…..LOL she needs to take it easy on the salt cuz she is bein ultra Petty
The truth hurts. Nicki needs to get over herself and listen to the criticism. Her music hasn’t been good lately.
