Kardashian affiliate Radar Online published a report recently claiming NeNe Leakes’ RHOA salary was bumped up to $1.5 million for season seven, but considering the same site also claimed Kim Kardashian’s Vogue cover was on pace to outsell Beyonce and Michelle Obama’s and it actually flopped, we weren’t so sure if the new report about NeNe’s salary contained any truth.
Interestingly enough, NeNe set the record straight regarding her RHOA salary in her recent interview with Extra TV, and she claims she actually brings in more than $1.5 million.
NeNe says:
“I was not offered 1.5, let’s be clear, yeah, it’s a lot nicer than that.”
And as far as doing season eight of the hit reality show, NeNe says she’s not so sure she will:
“This is my 7th season, I’m the OG of the Atlanta housewives, I’m the only original girl standing…For me you have to grow up at some point in life and career, I don’t wanna be bickering, arguing, snatching weaves every single day, just doesn’t make me feel good.”
NeNe always acts like she’s over the show but I think she will stick around as long as they pay her well.

Well shoot! I can’t be mad at my girl for hustling more copper out of Bravo’s pockets. More money, a sold out clothing line, acting, AND Broadway gigs. Plus, a couple reality shows coming out of her production company…damn Nene!!!!!
It sounds like a lot of money until you factor in how much Bravo makes off the show. The whole cast should be paid more than all the other housewives because ATL is still the most watched.
I don’t think Bravo likes the fact that it’s the black housewives bringing in all the ratings. That’s not what they thought would happen.
Meanwhile Stevie and them are broke. Smh.
That’s because Mona and VH1 pay people pennies to act a fool. Bravo will pay you well for it.
NeNe will do season 8 as well. I don’t know why she keeps pretending leaving is an option for her.
Kenya is the one who has no other options. Nene has several sources of income.

Actually leaving is an option for NeNe now. Unlike some of her peers, she actually took getting multiple hustles outside the show a priority. So she doesn’t need RHOA anymore to maintain her lifestyle. She’s on Broadway, back on Glee, has a successful fashion line, and an agent who knows how to go and bat for her. I think she’s done very well for herself.
Don’t you ever get tired of stanning with nothing to show for all your hard work? I’d be exhausted!

If I was NeNe I would leave after this season and show they a-s how nobody will watch when she is gone. This is definitely my last season watching I know I have said that before I’m dead serious this time. Demote Porsha but keep Kenya who started the confrontation and they did it in a slick way because they knew if they did it upfront people would complain. I’m not for RHOA anymore first Kenya and now Claudia this show is going downhill fast.
They are turning this into Kenya’s show and I think it will backfire on Bravo. Most people don’t care for her but they still want her to become the new Nene.
I really don’t know how ratings will play out with Claudia and Demetria on the show, but I have a gut feeling that this show won’t continue to be as successful.

The moment they pay Kenya more than her she’s out. LOL.
NeNe is very entertaining and keeps me laughing. She deserves her high salary.
And her arrogance continues.
How much times must she remind everyone that she is the only original housewife standing.#1 – Kim & Lisa quit the show they weren’t fired (although I’m sure Lisa would’ve got a pink slip eventually) and #2 Kandi was already worth more when she came on the show in season 2 when you were broke and looked a mess.
