When Apollo Nida expressed he was furious his wife Phaedra Parks didn’t even attend his sentence hearing, we knew it was only a matter of time before Phaedra officially ended the marriage.
Now the RHOA star’s rep confirms both Phaedra and Apollo are done and she has just hired a divorce attorney.
E! News writes:
Phaedra Parks is pulling the plug on her marriage to Apollo Nida.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star “has retained an attorney with the intent of amicably ending her marriage,” her rep, Steve Honig, exclusively tells E! News in a statement. Last month, Nida checked himself in to prison to begin an eight-year sentence which was issued in July following his guilty plea to bank fraud back in May.
Now who didn’t see this coming?
So what will Phaedra throw in Kenya’s face now? Being a single mother with the father in prison?
I only feel bad for the kids. Very unfortunate situation.
I really don’t blame her. But to be honest, this marriage never stood a chance.
She did what was best. Apollo didn’t respect her or their marriage anyway. I’m starting to wonder if he even had any respect for his kids because if he did he wouldn’t be in jail right now.
Saw it coming. I wish Phaedra and the kids the best.
So I guess she was just waiting for him to go back to prison to file.
She should have never married him. They were never equally yoked. I just hope she doesn’t rush into another relationship. She needs to process everything that’s happened in the last few months.
I feel sorry for the boys cause Phaedra can move on… those boys are growing and need their daddy in their life.
I only wish she would have done it sooner. I cringed at the way he talked to her on the show.
He embarrassed her multiple times. Glad she finally did it.
I hope she finds love with a better man this time around.
