Benzino is hoping he can make his way back to reality television now that he and his fiancée Althea Heart were fired from “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta,” but the magazine owner has some other drama to worry about.
The IRS is going after him.
According to the Jasmine Brand, he was just slapped with a $5 million tax lien:
According to the lien filed by the IRS in Georgia, Benzino failed to pay taxes for the years 1997 ($178,397.30), 1998 ($760,867.19) 1999 ($691,828.28), 2000 ($1,3339,844.11), 2001 ($634,281.39) , 2002 ($143,7688), 2003 ($19,969.91), 2004 ($12,975.36), 2005 ($87,366.32) & 2008 ($18,470.64). The grand total for the tax debt comes out to $5,181,788.50
The tax lien isn’t the first issue Benzino has had with Uncle Sam. Back in 2005, he was charged by the US Attorney’s office for failing to file tax returns for the years 1999 and 2000 and accused of failing to report $1.5 million he made for those years. However, he was later found not guilty of the charges.
Althea better hide that ring before he heads to the pawnshop with it, and I hope she’s happy with half of nothing, cuz that’s how much he’s going to have after Uncle Sam gets through with his b-tch a-s! Lol!
No wonder he was so pressed about getting fired.
This explains so much.
Lol them VH1 people got Benzino a-s together. After all that talking he did them people just made one phone call to Uncle Sam that’s how you clap back ha.
I hate to say it but I’m kind of glad they were fired. They were boring.
When it rains, it pours
he better beg VH1 for a wedding special.
So this is the real reason he was so butthurt about being fired.
You can’t f with the irs.
