Erica Mena is done with “Love and Hip Hop New York,” so she’s not holding back in her interviews when asked what made her finally walk away from the show.

According to Erica, the producers constantly made an effort to edit out the good things in her life and she feels they even hired Chrissy Monroe to go after her.

She tells Nessa of Hot 97:

“You’re feeding America this bullsh*t made up story just so you could have somebody like pair up with me. Now they think they found somebody to be my match. That discourages me because these are people that I’ve been working with for like three years. And it’s like you have no remorse for the fact that I’ve been busting my a*s…yes I go against the grain because there’s times when I pull up on set and it just doesn’t feel right. Like in my gut I know I’m being set up, so I speed off. And I get a fine from VH1.

“Because I just won’t do certain things. I just go with my gut. So at the end of the day, like who you are as a person and your livelihood and all that doesn’t get respected.”

Erica also says she feels like Yandy Smith is the only one the producers respect.

“The only person I feel like they respected throughout the whole cast and their livelihood and give consideration to is Yandy. And that’s why Yandy is looked at as this flawless person. But I think she worse than all of us in a sense that no one’s perfect. And yet her storylines always are no matter how bad life is.”

When asked why:

“I think it’s all about who you know.”

Interestingly enough, Yandy is very close to Mona Scott Young and she is the producer’s mentee Check out the video below. The producers and Yandy talk starts at the 9:00 mark:

  1. I can’t stand her punk a-s but she told no lies about Yandy. Mona refuses to spill her tea. So we have to settle for all the weak and manufactured drama instead.

    1. Agreed. The show would would be much better if they stop babying Yandy all the time. She has the messiest life in comparison to everyone else. Let us see that.

  2. If you agree to act a fool on a reality show, that’s all they will expect from you. Erica brought this on herself.

  3. Well it’s not like Mona was ever trying to hide who her favorites are. Some people she just protects more. I’ve always felt like Yandy, K, Karlie, Stevie and Joseline are the ones she rides for.

  4. Yandy does seem to get it better than everyone else. But even she was on one this season like someone was in her ear telling her to step it up.

  5. Now she didn’t mind acting and being a fool when she was trying to get her name known so she can save all this whining she is doing. But as much as I hate to admit it she is spot on with Yandy but I ain’t surprised because she worked with Mona for years and are really close so Yandy will be protected.

  6. Yeah I’m salty they didn’t show all Mendeecees’ court stuff on the show. That’s way more interesting than the fake assistant BS. They don’t even really mention it at all.

  7. Yeah I still don’t care for Erica. She’s right about Yandy but she can miss me with this victim crap. She came on the show throwing drinks and fighting people. That’s how she got on. You can’t be mad the producers wanted you to be ratchet when you got on that way.

  8. I think Erica is a bit jealous of Yandy. Yes Yandy is Mona’s favorite but she’s jealous Yandy is so respected as far as the cast is concerned.

  9. And why does Erica think it’s hard work to act a fool on a reality show? Anyone can do it. It doesn’t make you special. LOL.

  10. well that’s why chrissy left, she saw that preferential treatment and said screw this. i don’ t know how mendy been charged for sexual assault and this was never a topic on the show. she clearly is a favorite.
