“Real Housewives of Atlanta” fans were shocked to learn NeNe Leakes has decided to give up her peach before filming season eight, although she’s still open to making guest appearances in future seasons but sources claim producers are hoping Kandi can step up and serve as the new lead of the hit reality show.

When RHOA 8 filming starts next month, Kandi Burruss will be the show’s new star. And Kandi’s storyline will anchor the rest of the cast members’ plotlines for the 2015-2016 season, LALATE can exclusively report. Cast and producers are still working on storyline arches for new and returning cast members. But Burruss will be the core of the revamped show, LALATE can report. Kandi will have to remain true to herself and her self-proclaimed “Team Kandi Only” as co-stars attempt to pull Burruss into their own corners over the next season.
Kandi’s storyline has been exhausted. She won’t be able to carry the show.
Exactly. Had the Todd and Momma Joyce stuff just started, it would be a hit. But nah.
Umm no. People are over Kandi and all her contrived family problems. That’s why her latest spin off didn’t have impressive ratings.
Wait what?!? Chile please Kandi is a bore only time her storyline was interesting was when mama Joyce cut up and even that’s played out now. Only time Kandi shows some umph and personality is when its time to eat RHOA needs to have several seats.
Kandi has the personality of dried toast, and the inability to make a stand on anything unless it involves food, her Momma, or Riley in that order. No way she can lead anything on that show.
I knew they would try to do this. They would be better off letting Kim Fields be the lead. Nobody cares about Kandi and Todd’s questionable marriage anymore and Mama Joyce being old and ratchet. It was interesting in season a couple of seasons ago but now not so much.
Well I mean they kind of have to. Kandi has been there the longest and she has a solid fanbase. Whether or not this will work depends on what Kandi is willing to do. She would need some fresh drama in her life for this to work.
Kandi is more liked than Nene. She can lead the show.
Liking Kandi has nothing to do with being entertained by Kandi.
Exactly! The people around Kand make her entertaining by default. By herself, not so much.
I see the producers don’t know what to do anymore.
No. Please no. I don’t how much longer I can take her Todd and Mama Joyce storyline.
I don’t know about this. There’s only so much of the contrived marital problems and Mama Joyce the audience is going to take.
Wait, I just realized LA Late is the source of this information and they have been wrong a lot of their information regarding RHOA. I’ll take this with a grain of salt.
Kandi is my girl and if she is lead I’m rooting for her… the show will go on.
Sounds boring already.
She’s boring though. Her momma is the one who made her seem interesting. That’s why she bought her a house. Momma saved her peach.
