While it’s unclear if Tameka dropped Usher’s last name legally, she has dropped it on her social media accounts.

Eagle-eyed fans recently noticed that the mother-of-four was no longer using the famous moniker and was now using ‘Tameka Foster’ as her handle on both Instagram and Twitter. Although she did not reveal the reason for the change, it has been suggested that it could have something to do with the fact that he recently tied the knot with long-term girlfriend and Def Jam executive Grace Miguel.
Back in 2014, Raymond expressed his hopes that his ex-wife will drop his last name once he remarried. “I’ll marry again. You know, I don’t want to have a harem,” the father-of-two told radio star Angie Martinez in an interview on Extra. “So I just hope that when I do, it’ll be a departure.”
She’s finally letting him go. Good for her. She’ll find true love one day.
It’s about time. She was holding his last name hostage and there’s no reason for it. When someone is done with you, they’re done.

I won’t have a different last name from my children if I were to get a divorce. Simple. It’s not holding his name hostage it’s staying connected to the children borne of my marriage. But that’s just me.
So it would just be a gang of Raymonds then. But in her case she has three other kids + his two. So I’m not sure how that goes. I would hyphenate the mutual kids names to Foster-Raymond then. But I do know the Petty Betty in me wouldn’t leave my kids as Raymonds only with step mom as Raymond as well and I’m Foster like I didn’t birth them. Nope.

I like Tameka. I think she went through a lot while being with Usher and afterwards after loosing her son. I think she always loved usher and believed that they would always get back together. I think that his philandering ways and his un-supportive mother and anger issues is what caused friction in the marriage. When a parent is un-supportive in a relationship it is hard and can cause a lot of problems. I don’t know much about Grace Miguel, but I like Tameka”s personality better. I think she gave Usher a run for his money and Grace seems more docile and laid back. Maybe submissive when it comes to his ever demand, but that is just my opinion.
