Music great Lauryn Hill has managed to secure a loyal fan base thanks to her first studio album, “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill,” but she’s been getting called out for being late to some of her shows over the years.
And over the weekend, some even took to social media to vent about Lauryn showing up three hours late to a recent performance in Atlanta.

F-ck that. If you’re bold enough to buy tickets to a Lauryn Hill show knowing damn well her a-s won’t show up on time, I can’t even take your complaints seriously. When I need a Lauryn fix, I just put the album in rotation. I’ll be damned if I give her chronically late a-s any of my coins. Hell naw.
Sigh…I will always be a fan. But I won’t be naive and pretend she doesn’t have issues. I appreciate her for her talent and the wonderful music she has given us. But don’t expect me to go to any of her shows.
Lauryn just being Lauryn.
She treats her fans like sh-t. But they will keep making excuses for her because she’s the respectable black woman they approve of.
If she made it to the soundcheck earlier in the day, she should have made it to the performance on time. There’s no excuse for this mess. Lauryn needs to get it together. Having a classic album doesn’t excuse this behavior.

She’s managed to be on time for a few of her shows this year. I just wish she would make that the norm and not the rarity.
I never thought Lauryn would end up like this. It’s sad to me. I thought she would be able to make a few more great albums and really cement herself as an icon. That never happened and it really should have. But that’s the music business for you. Not everyone is cut out for it no matter how talented they are.

I will continue to play my old CD. Never will buy her tickets or Katt Williams tickets. They are either a no show or extremely late and belligerent to the crowd when they are called out.
