Kevin Hart Accuses Black Actors of Pulling the Race Card

Jada Pinkett-Smith received a lot of support when she called out the Oscars for a lack of inclusion for actors of color, and some people felt it wasn’t a good look for Kevin Hart to agree to present for the award show

Obviously Kevin clearly didn’t agree with Jada’s actions.

While promoting his latest film, “The Secret Life of Pets,” Kevin Hart was asked in a press conference how he feels about the diversity issues in Hollywood.

According to the comedian, too many black actors are pulling the race card and he’s just not here for it.

PEOPLE writes:

At a press conference for the movie The Secret Life of Pets on Thursday, Hart told reporters “people will look for any excuse to play the race card in Hollywood.”

“I think in this day and age – look – it is what it is,” Hart says. “You want it to be more diversified, you want to see more diversity, but a lot of people make attention and draw attention by talking about it whereas if you just work and progress, you eventually put yourself in a position to help the problem by bringing more people into the business.”

  1. This, sadly, doesn’t shock me. He’s been fine playing stereotypical roles almost his whole career. He’s successful, but at what cost?

  2. Boy bye. He will be singing a different tune when white people get tired of him like they have done every hot black comedian.

  3. He only has that opinion bcause things are roses for him right now, but wait till the next hot comedian comes along.

  4. You know he really needs to be smart about this. Don’t diss your black supporters just because white people are feeling you right now. One day that won’t be the case and you will need your black supporters to go out and watch your movies. I just don’t understand why he doesn’t get this.

  5. He was the same one who was b-tching and whining about not getting promoted enough overseas because he’s black.

  6. I’m tired of black celebrities and pseudo celebrities downing black people. How dare you publicly devalue the progress seasoned/ veteran actors (unlike yourself) are trying to make. You think Jada and Will just started having issues with race in their career?? You don’t see yourself playing the short idiot in every film including animation?? I’m just not gonna support. But ima laugh when they remind you that you are black too.

  7. He’s very arrogant and a few years from now he will wonder why his career fizzled out. It’s always best to be gracious and remain humble because things can change very fast.
