It was rumored a while back that Kendrick Lamar and Erykah Badu were messing around, but Erykah took to Twitter recently to deny they ever had anything going on.
Interestingly enough, she claims the rumors have forced Kendrick to cut off communication with her.

Specifically, his “Um, well cutie, I like your bougie bootie/Come Erykah Badu me/Hell, let’s make a movie” line. Earlier today, Badu herself took to Twitter to clarify the line. Responding to tweets from a fan, Erykah Badu shared:

Or just really smart. Not everyone wants to be turned out by Erykah.
Erykah needs to tell the whole truth. She didn’t get a chance to put her voodoo on him because he didn’t give her the chance. He’s been with Whitney forever. He’s not trying to ruin that to become one of Erykah’s baby daddies.
I keep hearing he’s shy from people who have met him. That’s the opposite of what I would expect. Anyway, isn’t he engaged? It would probably be a different outcome if he was single. Just saying.
I remember that performance they had. Erykah was coming on strong and you could tell she wanted to do some things to Lil Kendrick.
I definitely noticed her flirting with him at the BET Awards that year. But cool story sis.
I find it hard to believe she didn’t at least try to hit it. She has a fetish for rappers who can actually rap.
