Nicki Minaj and Trey Songz clashed on social media after Nicki felt like the R&B singer took too long to deny the accusations made by Remy Ma in “SHEther.”
In the song, Remy claimed Trey and Nicki slept together.
Nicki called him out on Twitter and he had some more words for her during his most recent appearance on “The Breakfast Club.”
In the interview, he claimed that it was his single “Bottoms Up” that served as a turning point in her music career:
“What I want people to know is…and Nicki said she gave me six plaques, but let’s keep it real Nicki ain’t have sh*t before ‘Bottoms Up.’
“After that, she had Monster…
“All before that she was hanging with Wayne. She was the wild girl with the wild hair. I love you Nicki. I love you. You came at me wrong. You disrespected me.”
Nicki wasn’t amused by Trey’s comments. In fact, she hopped on Twitter to throw a little shade considering Trey was an opening act for her “Pinkprint Tour” in 2015:
Barbz, could 1 of you send me a list of all my opening acts I’ve ever had on American & World Tours??? thx – onika tanya maraj

That’s right he did open up for her.
That’s why he had no right trying to take credit for Nicki’s success.
Now this is some very good shade.
lmao
Sometimes you just have to talk your sh-t.
She needs to take a break from Twitter.
Nicki needs to act as unbothered as she swears she is. Everything doesn’t require a response. Everyone with sense knew Trey was reaching with that Bottoms Up comment so she should have just paid him dust. It’s in right now to bash her but that won’t always be the case. She needs to ride it out and let her success do all the talking.
