Ashley and Michael clash over the restaurant.
“F*ck your talking. I am telling you, shut down the restaurant and this marriage will be over. I am telling you.” – Ashley to Michael
The episode then flashbacks to eight days later to get viewers up to speed about what led to Ashley and Michael’s war of words.
Ashley decided the restaurant needed to change the menu and how it’s been marketed.
She’s still upset about Gizelle and Robyn confronting her at the restaurant, and she is using the situation to motivate her to show them how a real “boss b*tch” does things since neither one of them own businesses.
Juan’s basketball camp is a success.
“I have so much belief in Juan. He has so much to offer and if my children can see their father be passionate and successful, then that’s what I want them to see.” – Robyn
“You’re doing great job as well.” – Juan
Although she and Juan appear to be in a good place at the camp, she realizes it’s all fake and they have some serious issues that need to be resolved.
She’s still thinks they could get back together.
Karen and Monique catch up and discuss the Pave event.
Monique praises Karen on how well the event was put together, and how uplifting her speech was.
Karen is relieved everything went well since the subject is so near and dear to her heart.
The conversation switches to Gizelle refusing to give Monique her phone number and Monique feels like Gizelle was the one who caused their issues in the first place.
Ashley arrives, but showing up to Top Golf in heels is a little off-putting for Monique and Karen.
She then brings up Robyn and Gizelle coming to Oz to cause problems, and her fallout with Charrisse.
“Now let me tell you, you will get f*cked up, if you keep doing that.” – Karen to Ashley
Karen feels like Ashley needs to calm it down and stop expressing every single opinion she has and every piece of gossip she receives.
Ashley disagrees and feels like she has a right to say what’s on her mind at all times.
Karen and Gizelle go on a double date.
Gizelle arrives to a go-kart track with Kevin, while Karen arrives with her husband Ray.
Gizelle is curious about what Karen is going to think about Kevin.
So far Karen thinks Kevin is really charming and handsome, but she wants to step away and have a one on one conversation with him.
Gizelle is a little concerned, since Karen has ruined her dates before.
“You’re a good-looking man, how have you stayed single this whole time?” – Karen to Kevin
Kevin tells Karen that he just got out of a relationship not too long ago, and he’s looking for marriage. Karen is impressed, while Gizelle is frustrated with her conversation with Ray who urges her to find someone quick before her looks fade away.
She refers to him as Uncle Ben in a confessional and takes jabs at his age.
Ashley feels a change in her marriage to Michael.
Michael tells Ashley that he’s not happy about her changing the menu and taking away so many Australian dishes.
He’s also concerned about bloggers taste testing the new items, and he thinks she’s just moving too fast.
When Ashley tells Michael her guest list, he’s annoyed that Gizelle and Robyn are being invited. He feels they just may get into yet another confrontation at the restaurant.
Although they didn’t get into an argument, Ashley doesn’t like the fact that he’s being a little cold towards her and wants to talk business first thing in the morning.
Despite Michael’s hesitance about her guest list, Ashley proceeds to send out invites to the other housewives.
Robyn wants to hide the tension between her and Juan from her parents.
Robyn’s parents come over for dinner to celebrate her mother’s birthday, and with Juan having an attitude with her, she just hopes her parents don’t feel the tension.
Robyn reveals that she wants to take an ancestry test since so many people are curious about her background. She has always just said she’s black but wonders if there’s “more.”
Her mother is thankful for the sweet card from the grand-kids and tells Juan and Robyn that she’s going to give them time to figure out their future.
Karen and Gizelle discuss Kevin.
Karen thinks Kevin is cool but Gizelle doesn’t know what she wants from him. For now, he’s pretty much in the friend zone. Interestingly enough, Karen isn’t so sure Kevin is the one for Gizelle, despite how likable he is.
“I like him. I’m not convinced he’s the one. because you guys have been in the friend zone for some time. He was talking marriage and you were talking not marriage.” – Karen to Gizelle
Karen also thinks Kevin may be too nice for Gizelle.
“I do think he’s too nice for Gizelle because Gizelle can push people around sometimes. She needs somebody to shake her.” – Karen
Despite Kevin possibly being too nice, Karen says she supports Gizelle continuing to be with him and even dating him.
Ashley and Michael go at it.
Ashley is really nervous about the upcoming tasting event with the bloggers, and she wants Michael there to help her with her nerves.
When she calls him to talk about it, things get tense when he tells her he’s the restaurant.
He shows up and they have a heated face to face.
During the argument, Michael threatens to shut down the event and restaurant. Ashley tells him the marriage will be over if he pulls the plug on anything.
“Ashley, how do you calm down, ever? – Michael to Ashley
“You are such a hypocrite!” – Ashley to Michael
“Stop yelling.” – Michael to Ashley
“You’ve been yelling at me all f*cking day, you f*cking insane a*shole. The only thing that matters is your f*cking career. All that matters is how you feel. You’re mad because I don’t massage your feet at night. You’re mad that I don’t come home and rub your back because I don’t listen to all your f*cking problems. You can try to diminish me and minimize me all you like. Shut down your restaurant, shut down your event tonight, and this marriage will be over.” – Ashley to Michael
“It’s my restaurant.” – Michael to Ashley
“Fine!” – Ashley to Michael
She walks off and ends the conversation abruptly. A few minutes later, Michael walks into the restaurant and asks Ashley if they can talk again.
“Why do you try to fight?” – Michael to Ashley
“Because you know that you have leverage over me, and so you exercise it at every opportunity. And I’m not going to stand for it. I’m not going to let you do that to me right now.” – Ashley to Michael
“You have leverage over me.” – Michael to Ashley
“This is not the time.” – Ashley to Michael
“You’ve been blowing this up all day and not one sorry.” – Michael to Ashley
“I’m not going to apologize to you!” – Ashley to Michael
“Then don’t say sorry.” – Michael to Ashley
“You have no idea the thought and the process that’s gone into this event. You have no idea.” – Ashley to Michael
“It started on Monday.” – Michael to Ashley
“Do you want the owner of the restaurant here?” – Michael to Ashley
“No I don’t want it anymore. No, I don’t actually. I don’t want him here” – Ashley to Michael
“Well then, I get a choice as the owner do I want this event or not.” – Michael to Ashley
“Go ahead, do that. Flex your muscle. Flex your muscle. Do what you need to do. You’re not my partner. You’re my f*cking parent. I’m over you. I’m thirsty.” – Ashley to Michael
Ashley once again ends the conversation and walks back into Oz.
In a confessional, Ashley opens up about feeling like Michael has all the power in the marriage.
“I’ve never experienced so much anger in my life. For him to say to me that he’s going to close his restaurant down, it’s a pretty harsh reminder that my husband essentially really does hold all of the reins. He holds all of the power in this relationship.” – Ashley
She also ponder if her being younger is a problem for Michael.
“While Michael is a very confident man and he has this very successful business, and he’s done all these great things in Washington, I still think that being with a younger woman is making him feel insecure.” – Ashley
The show must go on and Ashley continues to prep for the big event as guests start to roll in.
Robyn and Charrisse show up and actually give Ashley a hug while Gizelle is still cold towards Monique.
Ashley confronts Charrisse and Robyn.
Ashley tells Charrisse that she feels like she’s getting the cold shoulder, and Charrisse explains that she felt like Ashley has been really disrespectful about her marriage.
Robyn questions Ashley about how genuine she is as a person since she keeps digging up information about her and discussing it with the other housewives.
Ashley points out that all the women talk about each other, but she’s the only one who doesn’t have a problem saying what she feels to everyone’s faces.
Robyn disagrees and brings up the time Ashley called her the “bottom of the barrel.”
“How genuine are you? I really question that.” – Robyn to Ashley
Charrisse points out that she believes Ashley is just acting out because of some personal issues. Ashley admits that she’s going through a very hard time right now in her marriage and as a business owner, and they all share a laugh about everyone at the table needing therapy.
Ashley later finds some positive vibes with Monique, who shares that things got rocky for her and Chris when they started working together.
“Forget the restaurant, it will take care of itself.” – Chris to Ashley and Michael
Monique and Chris assure Michael and Ashley that they will get though their rough patch and the business can’t come between them if they learn to trust each other.
However, Ashley is still feeling some strong feelings about her fallout with Michael.
“I feel like even in a fit of fury, you bring up things you actually think about or things you feel. If he’s going fall into a pattern of disrespecting me that way, I’m not going to stay in this relationship. “ – Ashley
What are your thoughts on the episode?
On some real sh-t, I feel like her and Michael overreacted. Sh-t didn’t have to be so serious on either side.
Ashley overreacted more than he did though. How do you threaten to end the marriage over a flop restaurant? That was childish of her to say.
I really hope Ashley is able to work everything out with Michael.
Now after seeing the whole episode, I think Ashley and Michael will be alright. But like Monique said, you have to change your mindset when you run a business with your spouse. There’s really no way around that.
I really like Monique. That is all.
Ashley dragged the hell out of her own husband. Straight savage.
I’m glad that sh-t happened to Ashley, teach her to keep her nose and unsolicited opinion out of other people’s business.
She sure did! Lol She like I may be a push over for most things but not when it comes to that resturant. I like Ashely, Im seriously thinking about checking out their resturant espcially since they changed the menu to geared toward american flair.
