RHOP Recap: Karen Forgets Mic is Still on + Goes All the Way off on Charrisse

Gizelle spends some time with her daughters and updates her mom on her relationship wth Kevin.

Gizelle’s daughters are back from camp and she is spending the with them and her mother.

She doesn’t want to take Kevin out of the friend zone, but she knows her mother really likes him. However, her mother surprises her and tells Gizelle she should go with her gut and move on from Kevin if the feelings aren’t there.

Gizelle is ready for the Bermuda trip even if she will have to deal with Monique.

Robyn isn’t ready to tell Juan that she’s ready to start dating other people.

After seeing a therapist, Robyn is ready to work on her assignment – dating new people. However, she doesn’t think Juan is going to like the fact that she’s moving on, so she’s decided not to tell him.

“He doesn’t want to see me going out on a date. And I think he’ll let the air out of all my tires before I can leave the house. So I can find out if that’s something I’m open to doing in Bermuda. And I’ll just see what happens from there.” – Robyn

Karen isn’t ready to tell the girls she’s moving to Great Falls.

Karen’s husband takes her to the airport and they discuss their upcoming move from Potomac. Karen reveals that she’s not ready to tell the other ladies that she’s moving to Great Falls.

“I’ve decided to hold off on telling the girls about the house in Great Falls because it’s none of their damn business. I’ll tell them when I’m good and ready.” – Karen

She tells him she’s still not on good terms with Charrisse and she wants Charrisse to acknowledge that she only assisted in planning the Bermuda trip.

“You know, everyone has to have a chief and I’m the chief.” – Karen

Charrisse is one of the first of the ladies Karen runs into at the airport, but despite their drama, Charrisse is determined to remain cordial throughout the trip.

“I’m trying to be a team player with Karen, so I’m leaving all this drama back in Potomac. Cha-Cha is going to Bermuda, a place that I love, and my birthday is going to happen there. Please, she’s having a good time.” – Charrisse

The housewives arrive to Bermuda.

They catch up as they ride through Bermuda and Charrisse reveals that the other night was her anniversary. She texted her estranged husband happy anniversary but he never responded.

When they get to their rooms, they are greeted with letters from Karen who is continuing to take all the credit for planning of the trip.

She signs her name at the end of the letter and makes no mention of Charrisse.

This is not sitting well with Charrisse. In a confessional, she says:

“I find his whole attempt to exclude me pathetic. I came here to have a good time. Why do you feel the need to play these little games?”

Ashley and Monique accompany Charrisse to her room.

Charrisse one-ups Karen and upgrades her room to a suite.

“Yesterday was my anniversary. No one said happy anniversary, so I said happy anniversary slash happy birthday slash f*ck you Karen all in one. How about that?” – Charrisse

The ladies discover Karen has also left a welcome letter in Charrisse’s room.

“I’m going to be the bigger person and I’m going to let you have this. Because Karen, I feel is going through something that no one can really pinpoint, and I wish she would talk to a therapist.” – Charrisse

Robyn questions Gizelle about her beef with Monique.

Robyn asks Gizelle if she even spoke to Monique thus far on the trip and Gizelle admits that she ignored her.

“This is just beyond dumb now. They can’t even say hello, how are you, good morning? I like your shoes? I mean, something?” – Robyn

Robyn thinks the whole thing is unnecessary but Gizelle just feels like Monique is too ignorant for her to have a relationship with.

However, Gizelle is willing to be drama free so everyone can have fun on the trip, so he plans to stay out of Monique’s way and avoid a confrontation.

She still ends up throwing shade in a confessional after Monique says she wants to “pop a squat” when they later go out for wine and scenery:

“Monique only reads from the urban dictionary. I don’t want to hear this crass ignorant nonsense.”

Monique questions Karen’s behavior.

While having a picnic and wine, the ladies discuss how hot it is and that’s when Charrisse tells Karen that if she would have worked with her on the trip, there would have been a ceiling fan.

Monique decides it’s a good time to bring up the elephant in the room:

“Ok I’m just going to be real. Normally when you go on a vacation of some sort and you get a welcome gift, it’s from the entire planning party. And I was a little confused because I thought y’all two were planning it.”

Karen was not amused:

“So you’re not thankful for the gift? That was a gift from me personally to all of you. As a host, that is what I do.”

Monique and the rest of the ladies still find this all confusing.

“So this is your trip?” – Monique

“No, no. This is our trip.” – Karen

“You’re the host, What is Charrisse?” – Robyn

“I’m not hosting with Charrisse.” – Karen

“I’m so confused. I’m lost.” – Monique

In a confessional, Karen keeps it frank:

“If there’s any confusion, I’ll say it again: Charrisse, she’s not hosting a damn thing.”

Monique mentions that guests on a trip usually receive gift baskets from everyone who planned the trip. But Karen is over talking about it and says she fired Charrisse as her assistant because she didn’t want to take orders.

“When I asked Charrisse to assist me, she said she’s no one’s assistant, she’s never been anyone’s assistant…so I fired her.” – Karen

This leads to a litle back and forth between both ladies:

“She’s delusional.” – Charrisse

“You’re delusional.” – Karen

Gizelle wants Monique to know she isn’t pressed she wasn’t invited to her daughter’s birthday bash.

Monique explains why she didn’t invite Gizelle to her daughter’s birthday party but Gizelle makes it clear that she didn’t want to go anyway.

“To be honest, I probably wouldn’t have come. So it was fine.” – Gizelle

Robyn tells the ladies she’s going to start dating, per the advice of her therapist.

“The best way to get over somebody is to get under somebody.” – Gizelle

The ladies are thrilled Robyn may be finally moving on from Juan. However, in a confessional, Karen says she’s not buying it:

“Don’t be blowing smoke up people’s a-s talking about you going to therapy to try and move on. You’re not trying to move on. She knows she needs to move on but she loves Juan, so the doctor may have to tear up that prescription.”

Karen is short on the details of her upcoming move.

“I think I shared with you guys that the house sold. It was a cash offer from overseas.” – Karen

Karen tells the ladies that she is moving but when they ask her where she’s moving to, she defects from the question.

“You know what, I’m just expanding my empire. so we’re packing up. It’s just time for me to embrace a new chapter and I’m looking forward to it.” – Karen

She also takes shot shots at Charrisse after Charrisse reveals she paid for her room upgrade with her estranged husband’s money, in which Karen asks her if she’s ready for him to cut her off.

“Well what happens if Eddie cuts the money off?” – Karen

“Oh that will never happen.” – Charrisse

In a confessional, Charrisse returns the shade:

“Karen likes to say things and throw digs to make herself feel superior, but I’m still in my house. Looks like she already got cut off.”

The ladies end dinner and head to Charrisse’s suite to check it out.

“Karen knows she mad, because this is how grand dames roll. She got to hand over that crown. I’m sorry. Give it up.” – Monique

Karen forces Monique and Gizelle to talk out their issues while sailing the American Cup with Team Japan.

When they get face to face, both admit they feel the other is jealous and it’s why they can’t get along.

“When it comes to me, you have the tendency to wear your insecurities on your shoulder.” – Gizelle

“We’re definitely misreading each other because to be honest, I was like, ‘Dang. Is she a little bit jealous of me?’
I don’t know if it’s whatever you’ve been through in the past or if it’s my lifestyle…” – Monique

“You know I stand alone and do it quite well. Without your husband and his bank account, you wouldn’t be here.” – Gizelle

The conversation goes nowhere and nothing is resolved.

Robyn questions Karen’s motives.

Ashley, Robyn and Charrisse discuss Karen’s event planning skills. Ashley says that her yacht party from the previous season was “janky.”

“I like for things to be fabulous where I think Karen, she’s a budget person. The wife of the broke Billionaire Gates. I’m sorry, did I say broke? (laughs) – Charrisse

Robyn questions why Karen left the group to force a resolution between Gizelle and Monique. She wonders why Karen is trying to overcompensate.

“Karen wants to be amongst the higher echelon of society, but she’s not. No one ever really tells Karen about herself, and she needs to hear it.” – Robyn

Gizelle and Monique are finally cordial to each other.

Despite the fail of a conversation, Karen insists they continue to spend the day together by riding sailboats. Surprisingly, Gizelle does start talking pleasantly to Monique and she’s in shock.

Ashley is still wondering about her future with Michael.

She doesn’t want the restaurant to get in between her marriage but it’s causing a lot of problems for her and Michael.

It’s the main reason she doesn’t want to have kids at the moment. Since their future is uncertain kids just can’t be a priority.

Robyn tells her it’s possible for her and Michael to fight for the restaurant and their marriage at the same time.

Karen hits below the belt.

“What it looked like to me and I know that Charrisse and Ashley are just as confused as I am…but it made you look like a hypocrite.” – Robyn

Robyn tells Karen that she’s acting like a hypocrite foe saying the trip is about sisterhood when she’s been mistreating Charrisse.

“Karen is not fooling me. She’s treated Charrisse like garbage while trying to put up this front like she’s this gracious host with so much class. More and more I’m seeing that I don’t really know who the real Karen is and if she can be trusted.” – Robyn

After Robyn comes by and tells Karen that she has been using Gizelle and Monique to avoid being around Charrisse, Karen ends up going off.

“This ambush reeks of Charrisse. She’s famous for playing sneaky little games. And every turn I take, she’s always going for me. But when you scratch me, I scratch back.”

The producers tell Karen they are leaving her room and once they exit, she begins going all the way off, making many viewers suspect she forgot her mic was still on:

“Charrisse, you know she’s very jealous and she’s evil! She thinks the world should bow down to her for the way she put her life together. But anybody could have married Eddie Jordan and done what you’ve done. Hey, look people can say the same thing about me but I don’t go around screwing the fireman.

“She better not come for me because I will put that picture up real quick. New Jersey harlot! You not gonna f*ck with me and expect me to roll over, motherf*cker.”

  1. Karen is really irritating me this season. Her issue with Charrisse wasn’t even that serious so why did she even take it so far?

  2. Karen is doing the absolute most. And Robyn continues to very delusional about Juan. He doesn’t give a damn if she dates other people because he’s already doing it. LOL.

  3. It was Charisse’s idea to go to Bermuda so Idk why Karen is trying to take all the credit. Robyn is still delusional! I’m quite sure Juan would be thrilled if she started dating someone else b/c she doesn’t want to give their relationship another shot and he’s ready to move on and have a real relationship. I have no idea why Giselle and Monique don’t like one another. Giselle is constantly bringing up Monique’s husband and his money. Like sis why u so mad? He loves his wife and he can spoil her however he wants. Sometimes people’s personalities don’t gel and that could be it with Giselle and Monique.

  4. Gizelle really needs to chill on talking abut someone else’s vocabulary and grammar when she’s not flawless.
