TV One Responds to Bobby Brown’s Lawsuit

Bobby Brown says TV One is defaming him with their upcoming biopic about his deceased daughter Bobbi Kristina by portraying him as abusive towards his deceased ex-wife Whitney Houston.

He’s so upset that he slapped the network with a lawsuit and he’s demanding that TV One doesn’t move forward and air the film.

Now TV One has responded and the network says they are just going by the material Bobby allegedly put out himself in his book.

The Blast writes:

The producers of the upcoming biopic on the life of Bobbi Kristina Brown claim Bobby Brown‘s lawsuit to try and stop the film from being released has one small problem … Bobby Brown himself has said it’s true!

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, TV One and the producers of “Bobbi Kristina” claim Brown has made reference to abusing Whitney Houston in his own autobiography, “Every Little Step.”

The producers site the book several times in the lawsuit. In one instance, they claim Brown wrote, “I turned around to her, drew back my hand, and smacked her on the face.”

Reflecting on the time when Bobbi Kristina was in a coma, Brown wrote, “[W]ere there things that she saw in the way I treated her mother that made her more likely to stay in what I knew had to be an abusive relationship.”

At another point in the book, Brown says that Bobbi Kristina “often saw her mother and father high and was around the two of us when we were f***ed up.”

  1. I will NOT be watching. This girl has been a train wreck her entire life she has not accomplished anything she’s not going to be remembered for anything but having a troubled life we do not need to relive this.

  2. But she had a story… everyone deserves to have their story told so people can understand the truth, the fact that you are even labeling her a train wreck is the reason why people want their stories told. I don’t agree with them doing it so soon, but for once it would be nice to see her truth and what led to those “twin wreck ” moments you are referring to. Humanizing Bobbi for us who don’t know the truth…

    1. Soooo who’s truth is this biopic? She’s passed away. I don’t quite understand what you mean by your statement. She isn’t here to tell her truth. Her father wasn’t involved in even telling a little bit of the truth. This is for nosey ppl who have no shame. That’s all it is.

  3. I think it’s disgusting for TV One to use this poor baby’s tragic end to help their ratings. She was not a famous singer, her mother was. So should all networks start giving biopics to children of famous parents now? That’s the thing with Bobbi. When she was alive and her mother died, everyone around her just wanted to use her. Now she’s gone and can’t even rest in peace because all these networks care about is ratings. Absolutely terrible. Let her rest in peace.
