RHOA Recap: NeNe & Porsha Have a Showdown at Cynthia’s Birthday Party

Things are going good at Kandi and Todd’s restaurant.

Old Lady Gang stays packed and Kandi admits that she wasn’t expecting it to take off the way it did. The line stays wrapped around the building.

Kandi thinks her being at the restaurant a lot to greet customers is helping things.

She says that it feels good to have a successful restaurant on her hands after what went down with Phaedra and Porsha.

Kandi is also in the process of reuniting with the her singing group, Xscape.

She worries about balancing her career and motherhood because most of her free the is spent at OLG.

Cynthia is learning how to live without Peter, NeNe questions Kenya’s marriage.

She is still enjoying her new home, Lake Bailey.

NeNe comes by to chat and catch up.

“Honey I can see you have come into some coins.” – NeNe

Cynthia is planning her 50th birthday party, even though her actual birthday was a few months ago, but she plans on celebrating the whole year.

For the theme of her party, she wants people to come dressed up as some of her iconic looks.

They discuss Kenya’s new marriage, and NeNe makes it clear that she is skeptical.

Cynthia feels slighted that Kenya didn’t tell her about the marriage and she had to find out from the blogs. She still hasn’t met him.

Cynthia tells NeNe that Kenya has been with the man for six months, and NeNe doubts this.

“So you believe she’s married?” – NeNe

Cynthia says she believes Kenya is telling the truth.

Kenya pulls up and greets both ladies with hugs.

“So is congratulations in order?” – NeNe

Kenya shows off her ring.

“I’m married now!” – Kenya

They congratulate Kenya and cheer over glasses over wine.

In a green screen interview, NeNe says it’s weird to see Cynthia gush over a wedding she wasn’t even invited to.

Kenya says she was caught off guard but fell in love with a good man.

Kenya says she is looking for a new home with her husband and Moore Manor is haunted with the ghost of Matt. She throws shade at Nene’s nose job and says NeNe is being nosy in her green screen interview.

“NeNe’s nosy. Yes, she did cut off half of her nose, but the one that’s still left is quite big. That Nosy NeNe.” – Kenya

She tells Cynthia and NeNe that she doesn’t want to bring her boo around because she feels like the group will ruin her marriage with the shade and cattiness.

Porsha gets a visit from her sister Lauren and cousin Tiffany.

They do a podcast in which Porsha lets loose and gives her raw opinions and advice to listeners.

After everything that happened with Phaedra, Porsha is slowing down on new friendships and prefers to just have a bestie in her sister.

She tells Tiffany and Lauren that she got a New Year’s text from Phaedra and they don’t really talk anymore.

She still feels like Phaedra used her to get even with Kandi and she’s not sure they can ever be close again. She also hasn’t seen Kandi since the reunion but she’s willing to give Kandi time until she’s ready to talk.

They toast to no new friends.

“Family first!” – Porsha

NeNe is running her own clothing boutique, Swagg Boutique. Sheree pays her a visit.

Sheree comes by to catch up.

“NeNe and I have come a long way over the years.” – Sheree

She thinks NeNe’s boutique is cute but feels the one she has was “upscale.”

NeNe asks her if she’s in love and Sheree says she wouldn’t be so quick to confirm anything to NeNe.

They discuss Kenya’s new marriage and Sheree says it’s Kenya’s opportunity to show everyone she doesn’t have to rent boos.

NeNe and Sheree discuss what went down with Phaedra last season, and NeNe recalls the time Phaedra tried to get in touch with NeNe’s half sisters.

NeNe says Porsha is just as guilty and she doesn’t like how Dish Nation, Porsha’s radio job, keeps coming for her.

She says they aren’t friendly anymore and she thinks Porsha didn’t like the advice she gave her about working on her temper and keeping her hands to herself so she won’t be booted from the show.

“She never once showed that she was grateful and I don’t think she was ever a good friend.” – NeNe

Sheree says in a green screen interview that she thinks the whole thing is petty and NeNe just doesn’t like when her friends don’t agree with her.

Despite this, NeNe is convinced that Porsha is the problem and she needs to be set straight.

“I’m really going to give Porsha a read.” – NeNe

Kenya updates her father.

Kenya’s dad calls her while she’s out driving, and he tells her about the buzz on social media about her getting married. He was not invited and questions why.

“I definitely went away and eloped because I didn’t want it to be full of drama.” – Kenya

Kenya says she didn’t invite her father to her wedding because his mouth can’t be controlled.

Kenya gets emotional after her dad tells her to be cautious.

“I’m sorry that you missed it because I really wanted you there.” – Kenya

After he gives her a warning about her new marriage, he congratulates her.

“Thank you, dad. Love you.” – Kenya

“Love you too, child.” – Kenya’s dad

Kenya has decided to have another wedding in the summer so her father can walk her down the aisle.

Sheree and Porsha catch up, Porsha is ready to go to war with NeNe.

Porsha says that Sheree is the only one she’s talking to since the very dramatic reunion.

Sheree tells Porsha about Cynthia’s birthday party.

Sheree then asks about where Porsha stands with NeNe. She says NeNe is upset about what’s been said about her on Dish Nation.

Porsha says she also wasn’t thrilled about NeNe’s advice from the reunion.

She also feels like NeNe has been trying to call for her firing in her latest interviews.

Porsha says she thinks it was really messed up that NeNe would want to destroy her.

Sheree tells Porsha that NeNe will be at Cynthia’s party, so they should talk there.

Porsha then throws some shade at NeNe’s plastic surgery.

“Well you can reintroduce me to who she is now cause she sounds like a whole – a totally different person. Look like one, sound like one, just introduce me to her at the party. You’re gonna have to point her out for me.” – Porsha

Cynthia preps from her party and tells Noelle that she doesn’t know if Peter is coming, She says they talk on the phone a lot.

She calls to see if he’s coming but he says he can’t come because he’s really busy.

She says she wishes he could come because it’s going to be her first birthday without him. That makes her a little sad.

Her spirits pick up when her sister (Malorie) and mother (Barbara) come by.

Porsha and NeNe have a showdown at Cyntia’s birthday party.

As the guests roll in, Kenya speaks to NeNe and Gregg with NeNe referring to her as Mrs. Daly.

Kandi and Shamea stroll in and Kandi says in a green screen interview that she’s actually on good terms with NeNe.

Kandi calls Kenya out jokingly for not inviting her to the wedding. Kenya doesn’t even want to tell the girls her husband’s name and they have to get information from the blogs. This somewhat irritates Kandi since they are friends.

Cynthia arrives and is shown lots of love. They question where Porsha is and she walks in not too long after.

She quickly speaks to NeNe and ends up hugging Kandi (Kandi instantly regrets this).

Cynthia crowns Kandi as the best dressed.

After the group starts chit chatting, Kandi gets annoyed and walks away because she doesn’t want to be friendly with Porsha.

“I can’t take Porsha’s fake a*s right now.” – Kandi

Kandi walks over to NeNe and NeNe says she feels the same way about Porsha.

Sheree then says Porsha needs to talk to NeNe. NeNe says a conversation needs to be had because she doesn’t think Porsha has been a real friend.

Porsha tells NeNe that she doesn’t think it’s cool that NeNe called for her firing.

NeNe denies this and tells Porsha to play the video.

“I have never used the word fired.”

Producers then show a clip of NeNe on WWHL in which NeNe says that Porsha is not innocent in the Phaedra/Kandi situation and she’s just as guilty as Phaedra.

In a green screen interview, NeNe says she had a right to give her opinion on the matter.

The girls leave Porsha and NeNe alone to finish their conversation.

NeNe says she wants to go all the way back, not just what happened on WWHL three weeks ago.

She says their problem started two years ago when Porsha got mad at the advice she gave her at the reunion.

Porsha calls NeNe “fake as hell” and accuses her of trying to have her pushed off the show.

NeNe says she’s done talking since Porsha keeps talking over her.

In a green screen interview, Porsha says that NeNe just wants people to kiss her a*s.

“The only way NeNe will address this conversation is if it looks like my lips are perched, and I’m ready to kiss her big a*s. But that’s not what’s going to happen over here.” – Porsha

NeNe gets fed up and leaves the party.

“I’m not going to go back in. I’m leaving.” – NeNe

  1. The thing is Nene is lying. She did say Porsha and Phaedra needed to be removed from the show. She always wants people fired when she falls out with them.

  2. True but like she said she didnt say the words fired but she definetly said it in other words. She trying to play dumb.

  3. I still think NeNe and Porsha’s beef is dumb. They need to get over it because all of them need to be dragging Kim. She left the show but acts like she runs things. So annoying.
