Over this past Summer, while Offset was sweeping Cardi B off her feet, another woman filed legal documents seeking child support.
The Blast reports the child’s mother is seeking the court to define paternity of the child, and $15,000 a month in child support, although Offset admitted to being the child’s father.
The Blast writes:
Migos member Offset has been very busy lately, not only was he planning an engagement to Cardi B, he also admitted he fathered a child with a woman who took him to court for child support.
According to documents, obtained by The Blast, Justine Watson filed documents against Offset in August to establish paternity and child support for her 7-year-old son, Jordan. Watson claimed Offset was the father, even though he had never taken a DNA test.
Watson said Offset provided sporadic financial assistance, and claims he rarely contributed to medical expenses, education needs, and extra curricular activities.
She filed documents trying to establish an official order, and through Google search, estimated Offset’s net worth to be around $9 million. She wants retroactive child support, along with $15,000 in attorney’s fees.
Offset did eventually respond in October, saying that he is indeed the child’s father and has been there for him. However, Offset feels paying $15,000 monthly in child support is too much.
He also had his lawyers file a motion to seal the court documents after his engagement to Cardi B.
Good luck Cardi.
I don’t understand why these young men like to go around having all these babies just to half take care of them.
Gotta take care of your kids.
