RHOA Recap: Kandi Checks Kim + NeNe is Booted from the Xscape Tour

Mama Joyce tells Kandi about her meeting with Porsha.

Mama Joyce stops by to check in on Ace and Kandi.

Kandi recaps the Barcelona trip.

“It was so much going on out there on that trip.” – Kandi

She tells her about RoachGate and she feels like Brielle should stay out of the drama involving Kim and NeNe.

In a green screen interview, Kandi says she would never allow Riley to get into the drama regarding her or any of the other housewives.

Kandi also updates her on Porsha’s drama with Marlo which made her leave Barcelona early.

So Mama Joyce tells Kandi that she met with Porsha recently. She tells Kandi that she feels like Phaedra manipulated Porsha.

Kandi isn’t buying it and says Porsha is “not that dumb.” She feels like Porsha just wanted anything to win the argument she was having against and make Kandi look bad.

However, she does feel like the other women use the situation to cut down Porsha when they are at odds with her.

Porsha catches up with Lauren.

She says that the drama with some of the other ladies won’t take priority over her career. But she’s glad she was at least able to have a heart to heart conversation with NeNe. She understands that wouldn’t have happened if she wasn’t in a vulnerable place at the time.

Porsha is ready to move on from the Kandi drama but she doesn’t want to make a grand apology to the group.

Kim and Sheree discuss Kim’s fallout with NeNe.

When Kim makes it to Chateau Sheree, Sheree fills her in on the trip to Barcelona. She says that she originally had to sleep on a twin cot and no one cared about her ongoing back problems.

This is when Kim decides to throw some shade.

“NeNe has been using her back for 40 years as a stripper. She doesn’t have a back problem.” – Kim

NeNe updates Gregg on her Twitter drama with Brielle and Kim. She says she felt she had to clap back because she feels they tried very hard to discredit how beautiful her home is.

NeNe then tells Gregg things started after Sheree brought Kim and Brielle over to her party. She had no idea Brielle went on SnapChat to video herself in NeNe’s bathroom.

Kim tells Sheree that Brent invited Brielle over.

NeNe asks Brent if he invited Brielle over and he said he told Brielle via text she could come over after she texted him first after Kim arrived to the party.

Kim says NeNe called her and her family racist on social media. Sheree says NeNe went too far.

In a green screen interview, NeNe says that black people being associated with roaches and filthiness stems from racism.

Producers then flashback to moments in which Kim has made racially insensitive comments.

Kim says she had her lawyer send NeNe a cease and desist.

NeNe says that it’s not okay for children to use foul language with adults and not receive a response. Gregg says that what Kim and Brielle did was just to hurt her.

Kim tells Sheree that she has fifteen years of dirt on NeNe so she’s ready to fight back.

Sheree says in a green screen interview that kids are off limits and NeNe crossed the line. She also tells Kim that NeNe told her she needs to check Kim.

It’s obvious that Sheree is riding with Kim.

“Kim may have crossed the line a little bit, but I don’t give a sh*t. She’s my girl.” – Sheree

She’s not convinced that Kim is racist and she believes NeNe knows she isn’t as well.

Cynthia calls Marlo to chat about NeNe’s viral rant.

NeNe has made headlines because she had some issues during a stand up show. She argued with a heckler and told them she hoped they would be raped.

This is not sitting well with many and she’s been getting backlash on social media. As a result, Xscape booted NeNe from the tour.

Marlo and Cynthia hang up and she picks up Will from the airport.

Will tells her that after the blowup with Eva, he’s going to be careful about which politicians he supports.

Cynthia still believes Will and wants to continue to get to know him. He once again denies that he had a girlfriend when he first met Cynthia.

They joke about how hard it’s been for him to meet the group.

Sheree grills Kandi.

Sheree and Kandi meet to talk about NeNe’s tour drama.

Kandi says that she and NeNe have been on good terms as of late. She says NeNe got angry because the heckler told NeNe to kill herself.

While Kandi felt the drama would blow over in a matter of days, her group members wanted NeNe gone.

The promoter also didn’t want NeNe to remain on the tour.

Kandi says she’s not okay with NeNe’s comment but she understands that when you’re famous, sometimes you say things you shouldn’t when someone comes at you first.

In a green screen interview, Sheree says that it’s not okay to make comments like that about rape and Kandi went through that herself last season.

NeNe took to social media to apologize, and Kandi says she feels bad for NeNe because it’s back to back negative press for her including the Kim situation.

Sheree doesn’t think Kandi should be sympathetic towards NeNe because she should be held accountable for her actions.

Kandi then says that she is supposed to be meeting with Kim but she’s unsure because she’s on good terms with NeNe and she doesn’t want to give her the wrong impression.

This annoys Sheree who asks why Kandi is so loyal to NeNe now.

Kandi says it’s not about loyalty, she just wants to maintain the good relationship she has with NeNe.

Sheree presses her more and asks if NeNe was out of line to call Kim racist. Kandi says yes and Sheree says that means that Kim and NeNe are both wrong.

NeNe gets some support.

Marlo and Cynthia come over to check on NeNe amid the controversy.

“It has been one hell of a week.” – NeNe

She says she never meant to say anything to hurt anybody. She also acknowledges feelings that were hurt, which caused her reaction.

Cynthia says it’s hard to watch NeNe hurt and she understands she made a mistake.

They then discuss the fact that Kim’s lawyer sent her a cease and desist.

NeNe says that Kim must have forgotten that she’s been going around saying NeNe is on drugs. So it’s hypocritical for her to send her a cease and desist letter.

She can’t understand why Kim can never be happy for her.

Regardless, she’s more upset about what happened with the heckler.

The heckler didn’t like one of NeNe’s jokes and told NeNe to kill herself. NeNe got angry and wanted to fight back, so she said she hopes she gets raped.

She starts crying. Cynthia and Marlo console her.

“Everybody is on my f*cking case.” – NeNe

NeNe feels like people can say whatever they want to her but she can’t say anything back.

She’s upset she was also kicked off Xscape’s tour.

As a victim of s*xual abuse herself, she wishes she could have said something different in that moment.

“I just f*cked up.” – NeNe

Kandi checks Kim.

They meet at a restaurant to catch up.

Kim arrives late, which annoys Kandi.

“How you gonna invite me somewhere and be hours late? Yeah, b*tch you’re definitely tardy for the party.” – Kandi

When Kim pulls up, she tells Kroy to wait for her in the car and she won’t be long.

Kim walks into the restaurant and speaks to Kandi. She says she has no ill feelings for Kandi despite their legal battle over “Tardy for the Party.” which cost her $40,000 years ago.

Kandi asks her why she always has to be driven around by Kroy and Kim says that she likes him to drive her around so she can drink.

She reveals that Sheree told her that Kandi had issues with Kroy driving Kim around all the time. Kim feels Kandi is just jealous.

Kandi thinks this is absurd and she feels Kim is just looking for an excuse to leave.

Kim says she doesn’t understand why Kandi even cares who is dropping her off. Kandi just feels Kim looks for an excuse to leave whenever the ladies get together.

When Kim gets irritated by Kandi’s questioning and curses at her, Kandi snaps.

“Who the f*ck you cussing at? Calm it down.” – Kandi

Kim explains her irritation, but Kandi doesn’t back down.

“Well if you’re getting irritated, do what the f*ck you normally do and take your a*s on and get in that car.”

Kandi says she just wanted to have a “cool conversation” but Kim is on ten.

Kim calms down and says she wants to continue the conversation. Kandi explains that it’s okay if Kim feels she overstepped her boundaries, but she should have just said that without being disrespectful.

They then change the topic and discuss their kids and Kandi touring with Xscape.

NeNe then becomes the topic of the conversation and Kim says that she believes NeNe is “on something.”

Kandi asks Kim why should we share that video Brielle filmed. Kim doesn’t care and says that she wanted to get even after NeNe came for her health over the years. But Kandi explains that bringing Brielle in it wasn’t cool and it doesn’t make sense since one minute she wants Kenya to view Brielle as a child who is off limits.

In a green screen interview, Kim questions why Kandi is defending NeNe.

“I don’t know if Kandi found out NeNe has a d*ck and she likes it.” – Kim

Kandi tells Kim that she has to be careful saying a black woman has roaches considering the stereotypes.

She still doesn’t feel Kim is a racist but race will come into play since she’s the only white woman in the group.

Kim says she feels like she and Kandi had a real friendship and it ended over money.

“We’re past the bullsh*t.” – Kandi

Both agree to move forward.

In a green screen interview, Kandi says time will tell if she and Kim can be friends again.

  1. The best part of this episode was Kandi shutting Kim all the way down. I just wish she would not have turned friendly right after. These women have to understand that Kim doesn’t really care about any of them. She uses them and discards them like trash.

  2. While Kim is accusing NeNe of being on something, she may need to worry about her drinking problem. If she can’t film a scene with alcohol, she definitely has a problem.

    1. This is why I can’t take her seriously when she says she’s happy and everyone else is so jealous of her. Can you really be happy if you can’t leave the house without a drink in your hand? Nobody wants to be in your shoes Kim. Trust.

    2. My thoughts exactly. But this is Kim we’re talking about. She projects, deflects and lies a lot. She will try to make everyone think NeNe is on drugs just so no one will speak about her being an alcoholic.

    3. She’s had a drinking problem for a long time. She has some nerve accusing NeNe of being on anything considering her own demons.

  3. If anyone else pulled the same crap Kim is pulling right now, they would be phased out the show like they are doing Kenya right now. I’m so over Andy and Bravo giving Kim so many passes.

  4. Sheree is really annoying me this season. The way she tried to force Kandi to talk bad about NeNe was pathetic.

    1. I can’t stand Sheree. I was hype about her coming back but she has been a huge disappointment. From falling in love with an inmate to defending Kim at all costs, I just can’t take her anymore.

    2. And I can’t figure out what Sheree’s issue is. Is she really mad at NeNe over a prisoner NeNe hasn’t spoken to or thought of in years? I guess those daily collect calls haven’t done much to help her insecurities.

  5. The producers did throw a little shade when they showed all those times Kim said some questionable things.

  6. I’d love for Sheree to explain why she couldn’t tell Kim she wrong too when she was in Kim’s face. Why did she wait to say that when it was just her and Kandi?

  7. Kandi lost points with me by playing nice with Kim after she called her out. She’s been much harder on the other black women on the show.

  8. I think Sheree and Kim have an agreement to try to take down NeNe. And Kim has that new producer on her side so she feels invincible. But what they didn’t think about was that the other ladies would end up backing NeNe. We will see all of that unfold at the reunion. Sheree picked the wrong team, again. LOL.

  9. There are too many double standards when it comes to celebrities. Why is the woman who told Nene to kill herself not being dragged too? We don’t have a right to say whatever we want either.

  10. Kim and Sheree are really ruining the season for me. I didn’t think it was possible for me to dislike both so much at the same time.

  11. I hate this whole season. The only thing that seems worth my time will be the reunion because Kim finally gets the dragging she deserves. That one moment makes the whole season worth it I guess.

  12. Where Kim messed up was coming for NeNe AND Kenya in the same season. She didn’t think they would link up. *giggles*

  13. I can’t stand Kim! She always plays the victim when she’s the one who has started all of the drama this season.

  14. Wendy hit the nail on the head today. If Kim was doing good money wise, she would not be back on RHOA. She needs the money and her show isn’t doing that well. But instead of being real about it, she lies and pretends her show is a hit and everyone is soooo jealous of her.

  15. Here what I find hypocritical. Everyone was so upset with Porsha for saying to Kandi what Phaedra told her about Kandi wanting to rape her. However, they had compassion for Nene when she told the woman she hoped she got raped. This seems like a double standard. Porsha was saying something she was told, apologized repeatedly and has tried to mend the relationships only to have it continually thrown in her face. I believe Nene was reacting out of anger just like Porsha was when she was trying to defend herself. They both deserved compassion. Why wasn’t that given to Porsha? She’s constantly crucified for something that happened months ago and she’s repeatedly apologized for. ??‍♀️
