Dutchess Reveals She Contemplated Suicide After Leaving ‘Black Ink Crew’

The final season for Dutchess on “Black Ink Crew” was very messy.

Her engagement to her longtime love Ceaser came to a dramatic end.

And she had virtually no support from anyone else who worked in the shop.

So leaving the show made sense to her.

But she had no idea that her exit could not keep her from still being a major plot on the show on the following season.

The ongoing feud she had with Sky worsened, with fans attacking Dutchess on social media because she allowed Sky’s son Genesis to film an interview in her tattoo shop Pretty N Ink.

In a recent interview with Sister Circle, Dutchess revealed that she thought about killing herself:

When I first walked away from the show, I wanted to kill myself.

I went through serious depression. I went through getting harassment from cast members, death threats from them, people that they were sent to do disrespectful things. They would call my shop…and tell my mother the most heinous things they would do to me when I got to New York. It got to a point where I didn’t think I could ever escape it.

Dutchess broke down in tears, which caused Quad Webb-Lunceford to shed some tears too. Check out the video below.

  1. I like Dutchess. It’s messed up what happened to her but I think it’s an undercover blessing to be off the show. Now she doesn’t have to make a fool of herself for a check.

  2. I’m conflicted about Dutchess. On one hand I like her, on the other she annoys me. She will cry victim but doesn’t mention what she has done to others when she was on and off of the show. Letting Genesis interview in her shop was foul period. But she doesn’t deserve to be bullied by Sky’s fans either.

  3. Dutchess got the last laugh and I hope she realizes that one day. When you can make good money without embarrassing yourself for fake storylines or having s-x in public bathrooms to trend on Twitter, you’ve done well for yourself. Plus she actually owns her own shop now. I’m happy for her.
